I fell unconcious after a glimpse of the wings. The next time I opened my eyes I was lying in a room. The door was closed. But then someone walked in as I stood up. He was an angel. He had big white wings and brown hair with pretty black eyes.
"Your up" He said. "And your probably wondering where you are"
"I am" I said with a fierceness in my voice. I wasn't going to let anyone tell me what to do anymore. And judging by the way it looked, it seemed to me that he was planning to keep me here.
Then the thought flashed over me. "Where's Trey?"
"The vampire guy? He's down in the cellar" The angel answered. "But don't worry about him. I'm Devin. I'm the angel prince. You and Trey were brought inside after some of my guards found you both lying unconcious in the street"
"Why did you do that to Trey?"
He walked over to me. He reached up and touched my face.
"Forget about him" Devin said softly. He seemed to be hitting on me. I stepped back away from him. He looked suprised for a minuete.
"I'm not taking shit from anyone anymore" I said. "Especially not you"
Now he looked mad. Maybe even more mad than Jasper.
"You will not talk to me like that. You will be gratefull and respectfull towards me" He ordered.
"I've dealt with worse your highness" I said. "So show me down to the cellar. I need to see Trey"
"Not right now" He said trying to kiss me again. I pushed him back once more.
"You just don't know when to stop do you?" He growled.
I saw that the door was open. And I took a breath and then I ran out. I didn't know where I was going but I just kept on going down. Down a flight of stairs and then down more.
When I reached the cellar which it was by my guess, darkness clasped around me. I walked slowly down the isle of the cells. People cried, people whimpered.
My eyes flickered through every cell. And at the very end, was Trey. He was sitting on a bench.
"Trey!" I said.
He looked up. Seeing me, he looked eased at my presence. But then he stood up and walked over to me. He grabbed onto the bars.
"Lilly, you've got to get yourself out of here" He warned.
I shook my head. "I'm not going anywhere without you"
"Wait are you saying you like me?" He asked with a teasing smile.
Before I could answer that, Devin came down the stairs and walked over.
"You cannot just run out of the room like that" He said.
"You ran out the room?" Trey asked. I nodded.
"Your not allowed to be down here. Leave Trey to mourn until his death" Devin said.
"What? Your going to kill him?" And that's when I lost it. I kicked Devin as hard as I could and he went right down. Guards came in and grabbed me. The other half helped Devin up. His eyes flickered over me angrily.
"Consider yourself done for"
I had to leave Trey and go back upstairs. I learned that the castle was exactly the same as Jaspers except it just the angels. I wondered if they're were others too.
Devin locked me upstairs in an attic. I didn't like being trapped in small spaces. I felt so claustraphobic. Then I wanted to get revenge again. I broke everything there. I threw down boxes. And then thinking about how Devin had said that Trey was going to be killed I just threw those boxes down harder. I smashed the windows and everything in the box.
"Hey what's going on up there?" A guard asked peering in. His face went alarmed. "What have you done?" He cried.
"Did I ruin precious memories?" I snapped. He slammed the door closed and I heard his footsteps as he stormed away to go tell Devin.
Devin returned a moment after. And yeah, he looked worse than Jasper had when I'd gone and broken everything in his precious Lilly room. He strode over behind me and pulled my arms behind my back. He tied my wrists together in several knots. He pulled out a knife.
"What are you-"
"Don't speak" He said. He started to cut up my hands. He nipped the knife over my fingers and made sure that blood was leaking from my hands.
"Ow. Stop. It hurts" I said.
"Your not to say another word" He warned. He dragged me down from the attic towards the main hall. He pulled me out to another room which must have been like his throne room. Several other royal people were there. They all looked up as we made our enterance.
"This is the girl I've been telling you about" Devin said. "The one that can do magic"
I'd forgotten about it! I could get myself freed. And then when I tried, nothing worked.
"Why isn't it working?" I asked referring to the magic.
"We drained it from you last night" He said. "Wouldn't want you to put up a fight"
I tried to kick him again but his foot had blocked mine.
"Too easy" He said. "And anyways, I wanted to introduce everyone to you. They've all been wanting to meet the girl who's known to put up a fight"
"We'll I've had to deal with this before" I said.
"Really?" He seemed suprised.
"Yeah. Jasper the vampire prince. He kidnapped me and forced me to become a maid. He broke my arm so I went on a rampage doing what I did to your attic but to like five different rooms and I bent his crown"
"Let's hope you don't do anything like that" Devin said. "Oh hey, it's time to watch Trey die"
"No. I'm not going to see that"
"Well you don't have a choice"
