A/N
So to make sure I still have ideas as to where to go with the story I've decided to cut this chapter in half. At lest the part I started for the other chapter. That's why it's shorter than usual. Anyway enjoy and get ready for some fluffy moments in the next chapter. It's been a whole week now. Madara's injury's have gotten better and he's finally deemed Hashirama as a trustworthy person. Somewhat. There's still moments of hesitation, so that's something. So the physical problem is solved now time for mental state, and hopefully the recovery of Madara's memory's, and quick. Izuna has been a little overwhelming.. Of course he and Tobi have talked about what to do with him but for now he's gotten the agreement of not killing him.
It was starting to drive Hashirama insane. Healing wasn't supposed to be fast or anything he knew that but he didn't know a lot about amnesia. Let alone if Madara's memory's would come back or not. He hoped they would. He desperately hoped they would. So..
He had to take into research about amnesia. There were many different types and due to all kinds of cases. Heaving a sigh he began reading. Just as he was about done with his sixth book out of many, the sound of book being sat down drew his attention.
"Tobirama?" Asked the Burnett in a hesitant tone. "I found a few things you might also take interest in." As if to demonstrate, Tobirama flipped one of the books open before turning back to the door, ready to leave. Hashirama took a quick scare through the page. It was.. The thoughts clicked. "Thanks Tobi!"of course he got no response from the white haired man. Far more useful information on amnesia! Yes!
After some time, Hashirama came to a conclusion. From his own stand, he can conclude that Madara had somehow injured his head in their last stand off, wether that he from fighting or from the fall he wasn't sure. But he did have to heal the head injury, so it was probably some sort of traumatic head injury. Which means.. Madara's memory's aren't lost.
Hashirama's body was suddenly full of relief. A sense of gratefulness past over him as well. Though.. there was something else.. Hashirama shook the thought, probably nothing. He continued reading.
In most cases the memory's are to come back on their own but in some cases, some of the memory's need help with usually a visual of a place or person. In this case then it could be that recovering a memory can help recover other memory's and so on.
He had to tell Tobi and Madara!
Jumping up out of his seat from the excitement, he raced down the hall searching for the other two. Upon realizing that Tobirama probably went to his own study's and probably already read it.. He went looking for Madara.
After searching the whole house he went outside again to find Madara on the porch. Again. He was looking at the darkened sky. Hashirama hadn't even realized it was dark yet. After watching Madara a while longer without him looking over at him, Hashirama stepped outside and closed the door. As he'd thought, the sound of the door closing made Madara's head snap in his direction. To which he laughed at. This got him a glare and the rolling of Madara's eyes. Hashirama smiles at the other male.
The glare didn't really have the death sense as Madara's usual glares but it still gave a familiarity to it. Suddenly he wondered why the other was out here so late into the night. Maybe something was bothering him..?
"So. What are you doing out here?" Madara asked before he got the chance to. With a laugh he countered, "I could ask you the same." Madara gave another eye roll. Hashirama found that he did that a lot. "I was.." a pause, "thinking." Hashirama was quiet a second. "What were you thinking about?" He asked even though he had a good idea as to what the answer was. Madara sent a glance his way before looking back to the sky. "Wondered what to do if.." he trailed off. "If you don't get your memory's back?" Hashirama guessed with a slight smile. In response he received silence. "I'll take that as a yes."
"Can I.. show you something?" He asked. Madara's eyes landed on him. "What is it." Asked the Uchiha. "It's a secret." Hashirama responses with a wink. Before gesturing Madara to follow him as he stepped off the porch. This got a raised eyebrow from the Uchiha before he too stepped down.
They walked towards the forest, the familiar ones that he'd run through when he was young. The ones he'd walk or run through everyday just to see him. Just to see the friend he'd found himself thinking about when he was trying to sleep. The one who shared a similar dream. The one he'd tell his ideals to. The very one following him right now..
After the.. incident he had not come back to this spot. Not even after he'd wanted to for so many years.. He wondered if Madara thought the same..
Suddenly Hashirama stopped as he saw the opening. He turned to Madara who wasn't paying attention and almost ran into him. "Just that way you go first." He smiled as he pointed. He wouldn't admit that it was a bitter smile..
Madara's eyed him suspiciously but he walked forward anyway. Only seconds into walking he for some reason stoped. "Madara?" He asked his hope wasn't at all hidden. The other didn't respond.
Hashirama glanced to the river stream himself. The one where he and Madara had first met. The one where they'd meet everyday. Playing and training, talking about their dream and.. him losing his friends company.
Another bitter smile made it's way to his lips. He attention was caught by movement from the Uchiha. He was walking to the river. Hashirama simply followed. He was tempted to ask what he was thinking but doubted that he'd get a response.
Nonetheless this idea wasn't working. He thought so..Madara had been the one who ended their friendship after all why would he need to keep memory's of them.. With a yet another bitter feeling speeding through his chest, he releaseda sigh. "We should get back." He whispered.
Suddenly Madara spoke. "I.. I know this place."
