        So the day has finally come when they will announce the selected girls and I'm really nervous. I dont think I have ever been this nervous in my whole life. We are sitting waiting for news to come on just chatting with each other when Judy yelled" shh stop talking its on." As soon as she says that everyone has their eye's glued to the screen.

          Omg this is it" Ok lady and gentlemen the moment you have all been waiting for the King will now announce the name of the lucky girls" the newsman said. I'm getting more nervous the longer it takes.

         This time the king spoke" Thank you John great seeing you again, ok now to the names," with that he pauses for what felt like forever before he said" number one Ruby Atla, Melissa Danger, Melony Knight" but once I heard my name I couldn't hear anything else. I was in this dream like state where nothing made sense and I couldn't hear anything. I finally can back to my senses looking around at my family. My Aunt, Uncle,Mom and Dad are all looking at each other.

            "OMG they said my name I got selected this is amazing it's also impossible"I practically yelled at my family I couldn't help it I was so excited.

            "See I told you that you would get selected you are beautiful and strong" my mom said to me and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.

             As soon as the tv ended and showed the country's symbol we heard a carriage pull up that would be driving us..I mean me I can't believe I won't get to see my family till this is over which I'm really sad about. I also can't believe I'm leaving this early usually they waited a few days before coming and getting the girls. Anyway it took about six hours to get to the castle (we took a plane) because we had to pick up to other girls one was Ruby who was a three and really sweet she talked non stop though and she was straight forward she even asked me to be her friend and then Melissa was a preppy b**** who was a two and she acted like we were scum on her death traps oops I mean shoes but seriously those things are like a good eight inches high. I can already tell she is gonna be a for not a friend.

          I just hope that she goes home and fast because I already hate her and her preppyness. Its annoying and she completely ignored the escort. I swear I was even more nervous when arrived and they told us that thousands of people had gathered to see us on our walk to the castle.
         As we were walking to the castle a little girl called my name and asked me to sign her picture."What's your name?" I asked. "My name is Mary"she said while looking down all shyly."It was very nice meeting you Mary but I must go"I tell her I lean down to give her a hug and she whispered in my ear something along the lines of I hope you win but I couldn't hear clearly because it was so loud. I signed a bunch of things and finally caught up with Ruby and Melissa who were waiting at the door for me. Melissa looked kind of annoyed I guess its because she didn't sign anything for anyone. As soon as I looked at the doors I thought here goes nothing I think and take a deep breath.
