Zara's Pov
One week Later
It has been a week since I married Haider and nothing has changed. We have or better my husband has a routine which he strictly follows he wakes up early and does his workout and after taking his breakfast he leaves for work. And comes home very late, yesterday was our Walima and I am so tired and just want to give up because at the Walima I learned that not only is my husband a buisnessman but also is linked with the underworld. No wonder he killed the two criminals who tried to..rape me. I brushed my hair and put them into a braid, eventually the growling of my stomach lured me in the direction of the kitchen.
It was already almost seven. As I entered the kitchen, I smiled and warmed a plate of the Biryani I made earlier. One thing was easy to tell, Haider enjoyed my cooking. Eventhough we never ate together because he was always late and told me to not to wait up for him. I was so lost in my own thoughts that I didnt even hear the footsteps.
A heavy voice broke me out of my thoughts. „ Have you not eaten yet?" letting out a quit shriek I quickly turned around and was met with Haiders frown.
„ Woh a..ap yaha?" I looked at his dishelved hair and clothes while frowning he was not wearing his suit and had changed into a black Kurta which was rolled to the elbows, exposing forearms thick and corded with veins and muscles. I blushed after noticing that he had caught my gaze.
Haider was frowning as if he himself couldn't figure out what he was doing here.„ Yes I came early today because of the weather can you please make me a plate?"
„ Yes I just have to warm up the food do you want some sal..ad with the biryani?"
Haider nodded absentmidely while typing on his phone.
„Kharoos he could at least answer me with a simple yes or no." I whispered while pouting as I put the salad and the plate on the dining table.
„Kuch kaha tumne Zara?" Haider said with a frown as he put away his phone and starting eating his food.
„Na..hi kuch nahi." I bit my tongue and cursed myself. Haider nodded and continued eating his food. Eventhough we were husband and wife I still hadnt adjusted myself to him, I mean its no wonder we dont talk with eachother that much I still was scared of the Idea that my husband was linked to the illegal buisness. I was so lost in my thoughts that I jumped up when Haider snapped at me.
„Did you even hear what I was telling you." he leaned back with a frown.
„Woh y.es erm no can you tell me again, I am sor..ry". I gulped and started playing with my finger.
„I will pick you up tomorrow at six please make yourself presentable as we are invited to a dinner party."
„ Whoose party are we going to attend tomorrow?" Haider pushed away his plate and stood up.
„ He is a buisness colleague, I dont want to repeat myself again and dont make any mistakes." Before I could answer him he had already left the dining table.
Ya Allah I really married the coldest person on this Earth, with a sigh I started tidying up the table and closed the door.
The next day
I was wearing a peach colored Saree, which hopefully should be perfect for this Event. I decided to curl the end of my hair and was wearing minimal makeup and jewelry, consisting of the diamond ring Haiders Khala gave me for my Engagement and a diamond locket. With a sigh I stood up and decided to walk downstairs while adjusting my Saree. Just as I was about to descend the stairway I slipped and was about to fall down, but luckily two heavy arms caught me before I could slip down. I tightly held onto the lapels of the suit and looked up at cold green eyes that only held anger.
„Are you blind dekh kar nahi chal sakti kya, chalo I will wait for you inside the car."
I calmed myself down and looked up at the retreating figure of my husband. i stared down at the ring.
Is that how I am going to live my lifa Allah scared and unsure of my own husband and.. future?
