Your toes curl into the soft golden sand as you inhale the cool salty air. You, Jamie, Lottie and Ellie are sat on some rocks, laughing and admiring the gorgeous view of sparkling golden sand and clear blue water. But suddenly, the sun drops beneath the horizon, hands reach out and begin dragging your friends away, one by one. You flail out as you try to grab their arms, yelling their names.

You sit up suddenly in bed, awoken by the horrible dream. You gather yourself, raking your shaking hands through your hair.

Your bedroom door opens, slamming against the wall with the force behind it. Your head snaps up to see Jamie stood with a determined and confused expression, his hair is messy as if he's just woken up.

You thought you had Jamie back in the time you spent together on the balcony, but he got worse, drifting even further away from his friends. Closing you off.

But he's here now.

"What is it?" He asks, walking briskly into the room, "why were you screaming?"

"I-" You stare at the boy, lost for words. "It was just a nightmare, sorry for wasting your time."

You throw back the thick feather duvet that was covering you before and climb out of bed, not quite meeting Jamie's eyes.

"Are you-" He stops, glancing around the room as if he's taking it in even though he's been in it many times. "Well, okay..." he begins to walk out "bye."

Lottie and Ellie charge in at exactly the same time. "What's wrong!?" They yell in unison.

"Calm down Tweedledum and Tweedledee, I'm fine, it was just a nightmare."

Lottie visibly relaxes and sighs, Jamie slips out of the door.

"I guess we're all still on edge since you know...that." Ellie grimaces, fingering the Wolf pendant around her neck. You look at Lottie's matching one, smiling. Your smile falters when you remember that Jamie hasn't worn his in months.

"Okay well," Lottie grins at you sunnily, "we'll leave you to whatever! See you soon sis!"

You flash them both a smile and watch them leave, not quite sure what else to do.

You brush your hair and get changed into a jumpsuit with a fitted top half and baggy bottoms before applying some light makeup. You spin around on the wheely chair in front of your desk, humming to yourself.

Jamie comes to mind, you know he's pushing you all away, but he should know that he won't beat your stubbornness and you will get him back. You stand up with a confident smile and before leaving the room murmur to yourself,

"This'll be a piece of cake."

You reach Jamie's bedroom door but your clenched hand freezes before you can knock. You roll back on your heels as you reconsider, is this really a good idea? Will he just get annoyed?

You shake your head and force yourself to knock. Wincing as the door swings open.

Jamie stares down at you with his eyebrows slightly raised, but a millisecond later his face returns to its usual unfeeling expression.

He has no shirt on.

"Yes?" He speaks with anticipation and a hint of annoyance, causing your cheeks to flush red.

"Urh..." suddenly you're lost for words, intimidated by his small amount of clothing and cold stare.

"What y/n? Do you have short term memory loss?"

Your usual self finally returns. "Obviously not Jamie," you walk past him into his room, it's mostly red, and a bit boring.

"Do you have a personality?" You snicker, pulling gently at the crimson fabric of the curtains.

"There's more important things to think about other than what my room looks like."

You expect him to be smiling, but his face is deadpan, not even a ghost of a smirk.

"Again y/n, what do you need me for?" He walks away from the door but leaves it open, leaning against a post of his bed and crossing his arms.

"Hm, well Jamie, if you hadn't noticed...you have been completely isolating yourself from us and just training hardcore 24/7...I would like to know why and also ask you to speak to us again."

"I don't have time for this." He utters, looking away from you.

"What else are you going to do with the 20 seconds it takes you to answer?"

"I'm not going to be involved in your dumb adventures." He snaps, which hurts a bit.

"Fine then." You walk out quickly, closing the door a little too loudly.

What is his problem?
