Picking Up The Pieces

Prologue

There we were, standing in the rain like a scene out of a bad movie. Tears in both of our eyes, not that anyone could tell, shaky hands, and even shakier hearts.

"You should have let me go.." I whispered not meeting his gaze.

"That's the thing Luce, I tried. I left for 6 months for fucks sake! And I know I should have let you go, shit I've told myself that exact thing every day since we met. But something always brings me back. Back to this place, back to my senses.. back to you." Looking up, I could feel his pain, because I was feeling the exact same thing.

I was here with the wrong man and we both knew it. But knowing it, and saying it are two totally different things. He was the one that I should have been there with, but he wasn't. And I don't know how, or why, but something deep inside of me was broken.

I needed him to come back to me, only then could we pick up the pieces..
