Chapter 4

"Harry stop!" I yelled into the phone for the millionth time this morning.

"Then stop being so damn stubborn! God can't you see Im trying to be different?" He yelled becoming frustrated once again.

"My god! Seriously? You've been "trying" for so long I don't know when you're not "trying"! I'm over it okay? I need to be with my self and Ava and I need to build a stable home for her sake. So if you won't stop for me, someone you supposedly care about, stop for her. She deserves that much.." The last part came out as more of a sigh before I ended the call.

I refused to let him have full power over my day once again. It's been a week since Ava and I left and not only has he not come over to see her, he hasn't stopped fighting with me. Whether it be over the phone, through text, social media, or in person, he hasn't let it go.

On the bright side, Luke has been over almost everyday. There was an undeniable fuzziness that appeared in my stomach whenever he was around. The feeling overwhelmed my mind and consumed my very being every time he was near. I found myself smiling no matter what was happening, even in spite of recent events, my mood was always improved around him. He's just so lively as a person, always happy and bubbly, it's a wonderful feeling really connecting with someone on a level of pure happiness like Luke and I have.

"I'm gonna head out Luce, have a good day! Don't do anything I wouldn't approve of!" Calum yelled from the door as he was leaving.

"Wait!" I yelled hopping up, still only covered by his shirt that I had kind of taken over as my own.

"Yes my dear?" He asked with a sweet little pout dancing upon his lips.

"You didn't say goodbye!" I laughed wrapping my arms around his waist lovingly.

"Goodbye Lucy Ann." He smiled sweetly kissing my head before he left.

Once Calum had left, my morning was quite slow. Having nothing to do, I decided to clean. Starting with the dishes, and ending with the entire flat spotless. By the time I was done, Ava was just beginning to wake up.

"Lukey.." I heard Ava whine from our room.

Hopping up I quickly opened the door to check on her. There she was smiling up at me from her crib like the angel she was. I smile cooing silly things in her direction.

"Momma!" She giggled lightly reaching her arms towards me.

I picked her up and began bouncing her on my hip while I walked.

"Lukey!" She clapped her hands before demanding Luke's presence once a again.

I laughed giving in to her wishes and set her on the carpet before dialing his number.

"Hello?" He answered the phone sleep still evident in his voice.

"Oh no, did I wake you?" Suddenly feeling a pang a quilt.

"Yea but it's okay, I need to wake up anyway." He laughed gingerly.

"Well sleepy head, miss Ava here is demanding your presence." His laugh floated through the phone as I could hear rustling from his end.

"Her wish is my command. Tell princess Ava that I am on my way!" We both chuckled before ending the call.

"Ava run!" She giggled toddling as fast as her little legs would carry her.

"Grrrr!" Her shrill screams could be heard throughout the entire apartment.

"Come fast monkey! Mommy will save you!" Laughing I bent down and she ran straight into my arms.
