Chapter 6
"Yea baby, daddy."
"What have you done Luke.." I mumbled, eyes wide, dumbfounded by his previous words.
His smile faltered ever so slightly. Placing Ava on the bed, he approached me slowly, caution written all over his face.
"Lucy.." I shook my head tears falling freely and without reason.
"No. Oh god, what have you told my baby?" I whispered eyes wide in horror.
"Lucy listen! Would you rather her grow up believing someone who loves and cares for her and her mother is her father, or would you want her to continue believing someone like Harry was her father?" His eyes were filled with some sort of regret, and a form of love.
"The first I suppose. But Luke, you're so young. You don't want to be a dad, not yet anyway." I grumbled crawling in bed, pulling my knees close to my chest.
"That's my decision Luce.." He whispered joining my tense body.
"Not really, Luke. She's my daughter keep in mind." We both giggled easing some of the tension in the room.
"Too late dear." He smiled cheekily pressing a gentle kiss to my cheek.
"Don't make me regret this Lucas." I sighed lying down, Luke swiftly joining me.
He entangled our bodies, pulling me as close as possible, careful not to squish the sleeping baby in between us. We both pressed a chaste kiss to her forehead, closing our eyes, volunteering our souls to the depths of sleep.
"Don't hurt us okay.." I spoke, sleep evident in my voice.
"Not in a million years." Squeezing me tightly, we both drifted into a peaceful slumber.
Love was in our hearts, hope in our eyes. This was to be an adventure unlike the others.
At least that's what he'd lead me to believe.

*~3 months later~
"Luke just stop.." Defeat taking over my mind.
"Lucy it's fine, really! If the telly doesn't look right here, I will continue to move it until it does!" He nodded giving me a reassuring smile.
"Seriously it's fine, I just want a break from all the moving, and the boxes, and the whole not having a bed situation." I giggled using my hands for emphasis.
He set the television on a near by nightstand, plopping down on my lap with extra oomph. His face quickly turned innocent as he pressed a tender kiss to my cheek.
"You're lucky you're my favorite." I grumbled jokingly.
"What am I than?" Calum pretended to pout in the door way.
"Oh you'll always be my bestest friend ever!" Fake giddy clear in my voice.
"Mummy! Daddy!" Ava ran screaming throughout the new apartment.
"Yes love bug?" I giggled, Luke gave her an enthusiastic smile.
"Home!" She screeched in the same excited manner that I had just used.
"Yea baby, home." Luke breathed placing our foreheads together.
It was only a small two bedroom apartment, but it was ours.
Calum left, leaving all of us alone in our new home. With the new found space and sudden amounts of time, we decided to do something fun as a family.
Luke built a giant bed made of blankets and pillows, while I hung tea lights on the ceiling. Ava sat between Luke and I once everything was done, and quietly listened as we told stories and laughed with each other. We kept on talking about everything, and nothing, until we eventually fell asleep.
The next morning a loud bang awakened Luke and I. I shooed him, telling him Id answer the door, making him stay laying with Ava.
The face behind the door was one I hadn't seen in months, the face of a man I'd always love, no matter what he'd put me through. No matter how many horrible things he'd said to me, or I to him, no matter what horrible things we'd put each other through. He was there sitting against the wall, head in his hands, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Lucy, I'm so sorry. I'm so fucking sorry. For everything I've ever done. You were right, I'm an asshole, but you're not always pleasant either and I want nothing more than to see your face every morning. Whether we stay friends or more, I need you and Ava in my life. Please." His voice cracked at the end, more tears flooded his vision.
"Harry.."
