Chapter 21: 2nd choice

When Kimi and Mei were done getting ready they came out to the living room then Mei asked "Are you ready?" You looked up at them a bit confused and then you asked them "What do you mean?" They both looked at each other then Kimi said "We're going to the hospital to go see Masaru."

Mei nodded in response then you said "Oh okay." You had forgotten that you guys talked about going to see Masaru to tell him about getting the police involved so then after that you guys were ready to head out the door so now you were on your way to the hospital to go see Masaru. At the hospital when you guys got out the car, you looked around making sure you didn't see Takumi's car before following your friends into the building.

Takumi on the other hand was hiding around the corner of the hospital building watching you guys before he slowly started following.

You guys checked in and then went to Masaru's room where he was sitting up in bed waiting. Masaru was smiling as soon as he saw you walk in, you were smiling too when you saw him then you quickly approached his bed. "How are you doing?" You asked him. "A lot better." Masaru told you.

"Okay love birds we're here to discuss something." said Mei while her and Kimi pulled up a chair close to his bed. He looked at them then asked "What's going on?" You looked at him then back at them. "We're thinking about getting the police involved." Kimi told him.

Masaru looked at you then back at them. "When do you guys plan on doing that?" He asked. "We came to talk to you about it." You told him while they nodded in response. "Yup. That's why we're here." said Mei.

Masaru understood then he looked at you and asked "What do you think? Are you okay with it?" You nodded before saying "I think it's time we get them involved but...I'd rather wait for you to get better before we actually go through with it." Masaru nodded then he said "I agree," he looked at Mei and Kimi before saying "We should definitely wait for me to get better."

"Okay then how long should we wait? A week? Two weeks?" Kimi asked. Masaru looked at you then asked "What do you think?" You looked at him then said "A week should be fine." He agreed and so did Mei and Kimi.

"Now that we've decided...when are you being released?" Mei asked him. "I'm being released today." Masaru told her. You were so happy to hear that he was being released and so were Mei and Kimi. "So then I guess that means we can leave her in your care now that your doing better right?" said Mei.

"Of course we can! I mean I'm pretty sure that's what he was thinking too...right?" said Kimi as she looked at him. "I mean...I was thinking of staying with her at that house so yeah." said Masaru. You looked at him then told him "No you should go home and get some rest there." He shook his head then told you "That creep is out there somewhere I don't feel comfortable with you being alone far away."

"He's right even though that house is a safe place maybe you two should stay together just in case something were to happen before we go to the police." Mei told you.

Kimi agreed and so did you because you knew they were right. "Okay who's hungry?" Mei asked. "Should we eat from the cafeteria again?" Kimi asked while looking at everyone.

"How about we go out to eat? I'm being released so why not?" said Masaru. The girls agreed then Kimi and Mei said they'll wait for you guys in the car. "Are you sure you don't wanna stay home to rest?" You asked him. Masaru sighed then he looked at you and while he was looking at you, he put his hand on your face then he said "I couldn't get any sleep because I was so worried about you."

"Me neither," you told him then you said, "I was worried he might try to do something to you while you were here." You hugged him tightly after that then afterwards when you guys pulled away to look at each other, Masaru said "Wherever you go I go too." His words made you smile which made him smile too just by seeing you smile. After leaving the room you guys went to the front desk to check out and while you guys were standing at the front desk, you heard the sound of a camera going off.

The sound freaked you out so you looked around but you didn't see anyone with a camera. "What's wrong?" Masaru asked you. You turned around to look at him then you told him "Nothing. It's nothing I thought I heard something." He nodded then he said "Okay well let's go they're waiting for us." You nodded too before looking around one last time.

On the other hand, Takumi was sitting down in the waiting area looking at his phone and while looking at it, he was looking at the picture he took of you at the front desk.

Meanwhile you guys went out to eat at a fast food restaurant where Kimi and Mei finally got the chance to embarrass you in front of Masaru by telling him what you were like in High school.

Later that day Kimi gave you guys a ride to Masaru's place and then she said "We'll see you guys again once Masaru is completely better." You and Masaru both nodded then waved bye to them and watched them drive off. "Let's go inside. It's not safe to be out here too long." said Masaru before walking away. You quietly followed him into his house after looking around.

Takumi was in his car right across the street from Masaru's house just like last time. He sat there for awhile watching and waiting to see when you guys will come back out.

On the other hand Masaru was in his room putting some clothes into a suitcase while you sat in the living room waiting for him. When he was ready, he came out to the living room with his suitcase. "How are you feeling?" Masaru asked as he slowly approached you. "I'm fine." You told him. "Are you sure?" He asked just wanting to make sure you were really okay.

Should I tell him what happened at the hospital? That at the first visit I saw Takumi or thought I did and should I tell him what happened today? No. What if he thinks I'm going crazy?

"I'm fine. I really am, don't worry." You told him. He nodded then he said "Okay I'm glad you feel fine. Are you ready to get going?" You nodded in response before standing up then you guys finally left his house. Before getting into his car you looked around once again and there was still no sight of Takumi's car.

Takumi had left for the night so he can figure out how to get you back. You and Masaru finally got in his car and were on your way to the house in the country.

At that house when you guys finally got there, as soon as you guys walked in Masaru looked around before saying "Wow this is a really nice place." You smiled then said, "I know right? I really like it here." He kept looking around while you followed him with a smile on your face.

Afterwards he decided to finally unpack his things while you were in the kitchen making dinner and when he was done unpacking, he went into the kitchen to help you. You and Masaru had a quiet dinner in the living room once it was done then before getting ready for bed you were both awkward for a bit trying to decide who will sleep where.

"I'll sleep here on the couch." said Masaru then you said "No it's okay I'll sleep here. You can use the bed." Masaru shook his head. "This is technically your place for the time being so you should sleep on the bed, I'll be okay with the couch." You shook your head in response.

"How about we sleep together?" You told him then he looked at you without saying anything which made you feel really embarrassed by what you said so then you told him, "That's not what I meant....I meant we can share the bed that's all." Masaru nodded his head then he smiled and even laughed a little. "I knew what you meant I just wanted to see your reaction."

That embarrassed you even more so you got up and ran to the room to go change before letting him in and then that night you guys slept in the same bed but facing in opposite directions.

During that night Takumi stopped by at a store to buy a burner phone before going home then when he got home he sat in his living room activating it.

Once I get my Angel back I'll take her some place far away where nobody will find her and get in between us...
