Chapter 23: The good ending

Kimi and Mei were at the police department after reporting to them that Takumi took you and where you last were.   The police headed out in a hurry to go and find you while Kimi and Mei waited at the police department, when Masaru finally showed up he looked really worried.

They told him the police were already out there looking for you and that all you guys could do now was just wait and hope for the best.   The three of them sat together in silence when Masaru said, "It's my fault.  I should've been awake to check the messages with her before she left."

"It's not your fault okay? nobody knew this was gonna happen.  Not even her so don't blame yourself."  Mei told him.   Kimi nodded then she said, "Yeah don't blame yourself okay? Everything will be okay.   Let's just pray for her safety." Masaru nodded in response and then they went back to sitting in silence.

They waited and waited for which it seemed like a really really long time and they haven't heard any updates yet.  Masaru then offered to get your friends some coffee while they were still waiting, just before he was leaving to go get coffee another police officer came up to them telling them that the others found a phone on a sidewalk across from a park.

Masaru told the officer that it was his old phone he was letting you use because Takumi was tracking your phone then Kimi asked the officer if they've found you yet or knew where you were but they said they still don't know where you were at and they were still looking.

Meanwhile back at the apartment building, Takumi came back into the bathroom to see how far the water was.  It hasn't fully reached your face yet so you were still able to breathe and you were still struggling to get out while Takumi watched you struggle with a smile on his face.

"We could've lived happily ever after if only you didn't disobey me and run away twice." said Takumi while hovering above the bathtub to see your face one last time.

When your face was completely underwater your eyes were closed and you were praying to be saved.

Takumi was still hovering above the tub making sure you weren't moving when he said, "I'll be with you soon my Angel." He stepped out of the room for a moment after hearing sirens outside, he walked into the living room and looked out the window.  

The police were right outside getting out of their cars when one of them spotted Takumi at the window but then he quickly backed up thinking they didn't see him.

Takumi went back to the bathroom with a knife in his hand ready to make sure you would actually be dead since the police were there that meant the ambulance was too and it meant you would be saved.   When the police made it inside, two of them went to the bathroom and saw Takumi holding the knife over the tub threatening them not to move or he'll kill you for sure.

They talked some sense into him telling him that they could get him some help if he put the knife down and backed away from the tub because they said if he really loved you he wouldn't actually hurt you since they know what he wants and he knew they were right.

Later by the time the police got back to tell your friends everything, it was alright dark outside.  After being told everything they thanked the police then they rushed to the hospital to go see you.

At the hospital you layed in bed awake before your friends came in. When they entered your room they were very happy to see you. "Are you okay?" Masaru asked. He held your hand while looking at you when you said, "I'm okay."

"We were so worried about you!" said Mei as she and Kimi walked over to your bed. Kimi nodded then said "Yeah we were. Thank god you're okay." You looked at them with a smile then you held out your other hand for them to hold.
