"Well," Principal Sandberg announced as he walked into the detention room and saw Tilda, Gabriel, Oscar, and Ebba sitting there. "Isn't this a fun group? Welcome to detention."
Before Principal Sandberg can continue talking, Gabriel raised his hand all of a sudden. He was still very upset and still very nervous about the situation that he got himself and Oscar involved in.
"Yes Gabriel?" Principal Sandberg replied as he noticed Gabriel's hand go up.
"I just wanna say that I'm sorry," Gabriel announced nervously.
"Thank you," Principal Sandberg replied.
"Principal Sandberg," Ebba announced as she tried to reason with the principal. "All I did was make one —!"
"Ebba, please," Principal Sandberg interrupted. "You're all here for a reason. You know what it is. But this is what you should be thinking about, who you are in this moment in time and who you want be. You get one life. You decide how you're gonna spend it. Fortunately, there's no better place for self reflection than detention. Get up everybody! Let's go!"
With that being said, Principal Sandberg got up and the four children immediately got up from their seats and followed behind him. Principal Sandberg immediately led the four teens to an empty classroom that was basically a mess. There were clusters of files, papers, and other sorts of junk in the dark, empty classroom that Principal Sandberg was planning to have converted into a new computer center. It was going to be the responsibility of the four teens to help renovate the empty classroom as a way to pass their time in detention together and was a very good way to teach them about responsibility and hard work.
"We are turning this into a new computer center," Principal Sandberg announced as he and the four teens entered the empty classroom and the teens looked around in wonder. "But before we do, it has to be cleaned out. All of these old magazines are bound for the recycling plant. But they have to be properly prepped before they go. It seems all the staples must be removed. Whatever you don't finish today, you finish tomorrow."
"Well tomorrow's Saturday," Oscar replied.
"Because I wouldn't play?" Tilda asked.
"I don't think that's gonna work," Ebba hesitated.
"That's fair," Gabriel announced, sounding very reasonable as he did so.
"Shut up!" Oscar exclaimed, not sounding at all amused by Gabriel's response.
"So I suggest you get started," Principal Sandberg announced as he grabbed a small bucket of tools for the teens to use and showed it to them. "Choose your weapons."
Principal Sandberg left shortly afterwards and soon enough, the teens were at work. Well, it was just Gabriel and Tilda who were working while Ebba was just sitting around doing nothing and watching the others do all the work for her. She was definitely a spoiled princess for sure. Meanwhile, Oscar was busy in another part of the old, empty classroom doing some more looking around and took notice of some old hockey gear that was inside the classroom and was admiring them. He was also still very bitter about being let out of the team following his poor academic performance.
"Hey!" Oscar exclaimed as he picked up a bowling ball that was sitting around where he was exploring some more. "What the hell they need with a bowling ball?!"
Meanwhile, Ebba was sitting behind Gabriel and Tilda taking selfies to post on her Instagram while the other two continued to work. There was no doubt that Ebba's laziness was frustrating the other two and Tilda especially. The two girls simply hated each other almost to no end. Ebba was struggling to find any internet connection in the empty classroom so she could post the selfies that she had just taken onto her Instagram, which had a couple thousand followers.
