Angelina's POV

Practice at 5 am the next morning wasnt the best because Coach was still a bit mad about the tie. He made us do sprints and laps for punishment. Everyone couldn't feel their legs by the end of it.

The weekend was super boring, I just did a bunch of work.
The day was going so slow. It was lunch on Monday and we were currently sitting at the lunch table.

I was sitting in between Russ and Luis. We were laughing about something Russ said. As I was laughing I saw a swarm of red heading towards us. The Varsity Team was walking in our direction.
"Guys." I said quietly, but still getting the attention of my friends and gave them a gesture with my head towards the Varsity team. They all looked up and saw them.

"Check out the new jackets guys." Averman joked making me laugh.
Riley walked up to us first and leaned on the back of Charlie and Fulton's chairs. "Hey, congrats on the Blake game." He said making Charlie roll his eyes.
"Yeah, right. We tied."
"Hey, a point's a point. We're all Warriors now. You guys proved your guts. You all set for dinner Friday?" Riley asked, making us give him a confused look.
"Dinner?" Russ questioned

"Well it's an Eden Hall tradition. Varsity got to treat the freshmen to dinner. So, round up your posse and meet us at 6 at the Minnesota Club, downtown. Anybody need a ride, we can take you. I mean you guys do like steak and seafood, right?"
"Psssh, yeah we do." Charlie said.
"What do you say Sparks?" Riley asked me.
"Hm. It's really nice of you, but-."
"But what?" Riley asked.
"I'd rather set myself on fire than go to dinner with you and your disgusting team." I gave him an innocent smile.

He walked away with most of the team.
"Look, I don't like you pukes, alright? But this is a tradition. At Eden Hall I learned to care about tradition." Cole said making me laugh, and he looked over at me.
"Ha! I'm surprised you even know what 'tradition' means with that empty head of yours." I said, making everyone laugh.

He stormed off. Then Banks was the only one left.
"Its cool!" Banks reassured.
"Oh, it's cool. Let's go." Some of my teammates said.
"Banks says it's cool. We might as well go."
"Come on Ange. It will be fun." Connie and Julie spoke.
"Oh 'Banks says its cool'." I mimicked. "That's another reason for me not to go. You can count me out. End of discussion, goodbye." I got up and walked out of the dining hall.

School just finished. I needed to talk to Coach Orion but I didn't know where his office was. I was walking around trying to find it when I saw the coach of Varsity, Coach Wilson, walking in the hall. I went up to him.
"Um hi. Do you know where Coach Orion's office is?"
"Ah, yes. His office is down the hall. However you have to go through the Varsity locker room." He answered.
"Thanks." I replied and I walked away from him.

I reached the door to the locker room and I took a deep breathe. Make sure you cover your eyes Ange, there might be shirtless disgusting high school boys in there.
Then I heard laughing coming from the locker room. And Varsity are in there. Shit. I took another deep breathe and opened the door, covering my eyes just in case.

"Oh look who the cat dragged in." Riley said.
I uncovered my eyes and saw that thankfully they were not shirtless or naked.
"Don't flatter yourself Riley. I'm here to talk to my Coach." I pushed through a big group of boys but then Cole stepped in front of me, blocking my way.
"Do the J.V boys not satisfy you babe?" Cole asked.
My jaw tightened.
"Calm down, we aren't going to hurt you sweetie." Riley said, coming up from behind me. My hands balled into fists.

Adam's POV

I had the natural instinct to step in. I wont let them touch her. I was about to get involved.

She reached for the hockey stick that was leaning against Cole's locker. She grabbed it. "3 lessons for all of you." She said. She quickly whacked Cole in the balls, making him fall to the ground in pain.

"Lesson 1. Never call me 'babe'." She quickly turned around and whacked Riley in the same place. He fell to the ground too. "Lesson 2. Never call me 'sweetie'." And then she dropped the stick on the floor leaving all the boys in the room staring at her in shock and fear.

"And Lesson 3. Don't touch me or I'll break your arms, cut them off, and shove them down your throat until you choke on them and die."  I smirked and met her gaze for a split second before she continued to look around the room at the rest of the boys. "Any questions?" Then she finally put on an innocent smile before knocking on the door of Orion's office and going in. She gave me a small smile before shutting the door. I couldn't help but look down at my lap and smile. Sparks is something, she really is.

I looked up and saw Riley and Cole slowly getting up. I couldn't help but smirk.
"Remind me to never mess with her." Riley said.
"I sure will." Cole replied.
"Come on men practice." Coach walked in and everyone started getting up and leaving the locker room. I was about to do the same but I got pulled back.
"You like Sparks don't you, Banks?" Scooter said with a laugh. I rolled my eyes.

"No I don't. Shut up Scooter. How 'bout you? I swear you like Julie?" I replied with a glare before walking out.

We walked out the locker room and practice started. The only thing that I could think about was that me and Sparks were going to work on the project together at my house.

Angelina's POV

"Coach. Can I talk to you?" I asked.
"Sure. Take a seat." He gestured to the chair in front if his desk. I sat down.
"I don't want to waste any of your time but I have a question."
"Go ahead" he nodded.
"Yesterday at the game. I don't understand why you wouldn't let me play in the third period, we would have won. Why didn't you put me in. I'm just curious." I asked.

He sighed before he opened his mouth to speak.
"Look. I consider you one of the strongest and the best members, if not the strongest and the best member on the team. And I know that you have the skills to play offense and defence. I knew from day one that you can already play two-way hockey."

I stood silent. He continued.
"I know that hockey means a lot to you. And I know that you always want to learn more so you can become the best hockey player that you can possibly be. Correct?" He asked.
"Yes sir." I replied.
"I didn't keep you in the box for the whole third period because I thought that you can't bring us a win or that you are not capable. I didn't let you play in the third period because I want the others to learn."

I tilted my head to the side, confused.
"I want the others to learn that if you don't have a strong offence and defence there is no way you can win. And I knew that you already know that. So there is no point in me teaching you something you already have been taught. Understand?"

I nodded, showing that I understand.
"The same applies to you being Captain instead of Conway. You have the leadership and determination that no one else on the team has."
I nodded again.
"But that's not the only reason. I saw that day that you were the only one willing to cooperate and learn from me." He paused. "Does that answer you question?"

"Yes sir. Thank you." I thanked.
"Good, now get out of here. Have a restful evening."
"Thank you sir. You too." I said and I walked out of his office and out the building. I couldn't help but let a huge smile form, thinking about Coach's words.
I walked home and started mentally preparing myself for going to Banks' house.
