Angelina's POV

"Fifteen minutes?! Man, I cannot move." Russ noted.
"Hey, you guys, look. He posted our positions." Connie pointed out. Banks, Russ, Fulton, Connie and I made our way to the sheet first.
"If I get a bad position I'm committing murder." I mumbled.

"I don't believe this. I play left side not right." Fulton threw his hands in the air and walked off.
"Third line!? Man, that's a major diss." Russ groused, following Fulton.
"I'm still centre." I said, not surprised.
"I'm not even posted." Banks blurted from beside me.
"Oh my god, cant you read?!" I criticized, looking up at him. I turned and pointed at his name on the sheet. "Adam Banks. Third line, centre." Then I paused again, in complete shock. "Varsity?"

"I made Varsity?" He asked, in the same amount of shock that I was in.
"I mean, isn't it where you are supposed to be?" I said, coldly.
"What?" he asked.
"I mean, you are a dick like the rest of those Varsity jerks." I commented.
"Oh your dead." Adam fumed, making his way towards me, and stopping right in front of me. His eyes were filled with anger, which was my goal.
"Both of you, relax!" Dwayne ordered
"Whatever." Banks and I both muttered.

I sat down and started taking my pads off.
"That's the great thing about being goalie, you know? You always know where you stand. I just my mind my business, take my place between the pipes." Goldberg said, joyfully. We all heard Averman let out a chuckle.
"You're riding the pine pony, pal." He said, and I burst out with laughter.
"Very funny." Goldberg said with a slight laugh that quickly faded.
"Julie's 1. You're 2."

I started laughing again with Averman and Charlie. "Well done Julie! It's about time!" And I high-fived her. Goldberg ran past us to go see for himself.
"How can he do this to me? What am I? Chopped liver?" And he walked back to his spot.

"Hey um guys." Dwayne called.
"What's up Cowboy?" Kenny asked.
"Charlie." He turned to face Charlie. "Don't get mad, I mean she's your best friend after all." And he gestured to me.
"Fucking hell, just spit it out!" I demanded.
"We only have one Captain." Guy continued.
"What?" Charlie and I both asked in obvious confusion.
"Ange is the only captain." Guy finished, and my eyes went wide. I looked at Charlie who looked as equally shocked.

I put my head on his shoulder, which made him look at me.
"Are you mad at me?" I asked, scared of what he would say next. He took a deep breath.
"I would never be mad at you." He said calmly, giving me a soft smile but in his eyes I could still see a hint of sadness.

Julie's POV

After we found out that Charlie was no longer a captain, which followed Ange leaning her head on his shoulder, my eyes looked around the room and I observed the drastic atmosphere change, no one was saying a word anymore.

Then my eyes landed on Banks, who's reaction I didn't expect. All you could see in his eyes was jealousy, pure jealousy.
I quickly looked over at Connie and saw that she was already looking at him. Then we looked at each other and our hands immediately slapped our mouths in shock.
Is he jealous of Charlie? Could he actually like Ange? I sighed. Only time will tell.

Angelina's POV

Me and Charlie decided to visit Hans after school. On the whole way home, Charlie kept on huffing and puffing as we walked. We were in the middle of our journey when he let out a scream, which made me jump.
"He took my captain spot away from me!" He yelled. "How could he do this to me?!" And he kicked a soda can that happened to be on the floor.

I didn't answer, because a part of me still thought that he was mad at me. The rest of the walk was in silence.

We made it to Hans' place. We opened the door, and there he was sharpening skates and listening to old Norwegian music.
"School was not so fun today, eh, kiddos?"
"How'd you know it was us?" Charlie asked.
"Hmmm... only 3 people can open a door so sadly; you two and Gordon."
Then a red liquid squirted into the air.
"I've really done it this time, kiddos!"

I chucked "Knock it of Hans. Wipe of the ketchup and stop trying to cheer us up." Charlie said, chucking him a towel.
"School is a nightmare." I told.
"Especially our new hockey Coach." Charlie added.
"Have you ever heard of Ted Orion?" I asked Hans.

"Yes. He left the North Stars when he was still in his prime."
"This guy is no duck." Me and Charlie said in unison.
"Perhaps you guys should show him the way."

"He doesn't exactly seem open to new learning experiences." Charlie responded.
"The question is, are you?" Hans asked.
"Whatever. Ange, are you still coming to mine for dinner?" Charlie asked.
"Yeah, I'll be there."
"Okay, see you Hans." Charlie waved and left.

"He made me the only Captain." I said, sitting myself on the couch in the room. "And he didn't shut up about it on the way here."  Hans laughed.
"I actually don't think he's a bad Coach, you know."
"I know you don't little one, but I don't think that stubborn best friend of yours shares that opinion." Hans said before taking a seat opposite me, in his iconic arm chair.

"I cant help but feel like the whole team hates me. Especially Charlie. I'm not so sure that they want me to be Captain."
"I'm sure they don't think that little one." Hans said.
"And on top of all that Banks is on Varsity now."
"And are you sad about it?"
"I really don't know at this point." I paused. "Oh god look at the time, I should get going. I said I would go do homework with Connie and Julie. I'll come and visit you tomorrow."
I got up and said my goodbye and left.

~

We were in the middle of doing homework in a comfortable silence but Connie broke it.
"So Adam looked a bit jealous of you and Charlie in the locker room today." She remarked.
"He definitely did."  Julie added.
"I'm sure its nothing guys. He was probably just mad about what I said to him."
"Did you mean it?" Connie asked, looking up at me.
"No. Not really. I just said it for the sake of pissing him off. That's all."
"I knew you were gonna say that." Julie said and we continued with homework

~

Dinner at Charlie's was good. After I left and got home and I jumped on my couch, kicking my shoes off and looking at the ceiling. I couldn't help but overthink the amount of times I locked eyes with Banks today. I didn't really know what it meant. But looking into his eyes made me have a weird feeling in my stomach. Every time I look into his deep blue eyes my stomach does a flip. But I don't really know what that means.
