The room started to spin and whatever words were coming out of Hermiones mouth was drowned out by the buzzing in my ears. I tried to stand but I stumbled back into my seat, that's when Hermiones hand on my shoulder caught my attention. I could see worry in her eyes and the buzzing in my ears started to subside. "Y/n! Y/n, are you ok?" she said with a concerned look on her face. Her calm voice and her warm hand on my shoulder helped me gain my composure and the room stopped spinning. "I... I think I need some air." I said as I grabbed my bag and rushed out of the library.

I hurried down the large corridor to a small hidden stairwell that led to the ground floor. As I approached the bottom of the stairs, I heard a familiar obnoxious voice echoing down the corridor. Hopefully if I sneak out of the stairwell, I can avoid him I thought to myself.

I walked out from the stairs and saw nobody either side of the bright corridor. I let out a small sigh of relief and proceeded to head towards the courtyard for some fresh air and to clear my head.

I got to the courtyard which was in the middle of the castle near the transfiguration room. The courtyard had freshly cut grass covering the open area and a large tree which must be centuries old in one corner of the huge space. The walls were lined with different types and colours of bush which surrounded the perimeter. There were a few old stone benches spread around with only a couple of students in the area opposite the tree sat on one of the benches.

I walked over to sit under the tree when I heard a loud snicker come from behind the it, "look what we have here!" the cocky blonde said as he emerged from behind the tree. I was quite surprised that he was alone, in all honesty I was expecting Crabbe and Goyle to be lurking nearby. "I'm really not in the mood for you right now Malfoy." I warned, "oooh what are you going to do? Run off to your little mudblood friend." Draco said with a cruel smirk plastered on his face.

I felt my blood boil at that disgusting word he keeps using to describe Hermione. "I swear to god Malfoy I am NOT in the mood for your fucking BULLSHIT today!" I snapped at him and drew my wand. "Do it! I dare you!" he said as he leant against the trunk of the tree.

With my wand still drawn I marched up to the arrogant blonde and pressed the tip of my wand against his throat. "Don't fucking tempt me!" I growled as I applied more pressure on his throat. His grey eyes penetrating my own as his signature smirk found its way back to his face. Our faces just inches away from each other, I could feel the warmth of his breath against my cheeks.

His hand slowly reached up for mine which held my wand. His hand was cold but soft, he lowered my wand. My breath hitched at his touch as his other hand found my waist, we must have been stood there for about two minutes just staring at each other. I tried to move away or even look away, but I was frozen.

He broke eye contact first by looking down at my lips then back up to my eyes, his face began to move closer to mine, our lips just millimetres apart. That was until we were interrupted by the Weasley twins.

"what's going on here then?" Fred said with the biggest smile on his face that I've ever seen. As Fred and George walked closer Draco let go of my waist and stormed off without a word or even a glance back at me.

I stood there lost for words about what just occurred. "So? What was you and Malfoy doing hmm?" George continued his brothers question as they both came to a halt in front of me. "I don't know! One minute I was threatening him and the next it was like he was going to kiss me!" I blurted as I threw my hands up. The twins exchanged a look of confusion but I tried to ignore it and walk away. "Wait. I thought he hated you for being friends with Gryffindors. Especially Hermione and 'Pottah'!" Fred said while doing a near perfect of impression of Draco while jogging to catch up with me. "Yeah, I did too." I whispered as we started walking down the corridors heading to the great hall.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We ran into Hermione a few minutes ago and asked where you were. She said that you might be here clearing your head about something, are you okay darling?" George said we turned a corner.

I sighed as I knew I had to tell them before the news of my newly discovered family tree was spread like a wildfire through the school. "There's actually something I have to tell you two. Just don't judge me by it because I'm still coming to terms with it all myself." I groaned as I pulled them both into a small broom cupboard.

The cupboard was dusty and smelled damp even though there was no sign of any water. There were a few old brooms leant against the wall, some with chips in and some with handles that were completely snapped off. It was cramped but it's perfect for a little bit of privacy, especially when the conversation involves you-know-who. "Is this what you were upset about when we first met you love?" Fred asked as he put his hand on my shoulder to comfort me. "Oh, No it's not about that." I said as I rubbed the back of my neck, wondering what they will think of me after I tell them. "It's about my family. More specifically my dad and his side of the family."

I explained all I knew about my dad and his relation to he-who-must-not-be-named. I was expecting them to walk out of the broom closet or do something but they didn't do anything and I was happy about that. I was happy at the fact they didn't judge me like I asked.

We must have been stood in silence for what felt like hours but must have been like five minutes until Fred leaned in and hugged me. Which I have to admit was quite unexpected to say the least. "I know it's not your fault what you-know-who did and I know that people will probably try and use your relation to him to single you out and blame you for things but, you are your own person never forget that love." He whispered in my ear and tightened the hug.

I felt tears sting my eyes at the words Fred said but I held them back because now isn't the time for crying. I knew I had to tell Harry about this, mainly because I don't want him to hate me for what my 'uncle' did. Though I dreaded it because if he did start to hate me, I'd lose another friend and I don't want to lose any more friends.

"Do you know where Hermione was going when you bumped into her?" I asked them while turning to open the broom cupboard door. "It looked like she was heading to the great hall probably to meet Harry and Ron." George replied as he ducked his head coming out of the cupboard. "I better go and meet her there and apologise for running off from her earlier. You guys coming?" I questioned as I looked up to the two tall boys standing before me. "Yeah, we might as well!" The red-haired twins said in sync, grinning as they started to walk either side of me towards the great hall.
