[WILBUR SOOT'S POV]

I just watched Schlatt die to a creeper. God, what an idiot. I'm fairly sure we can only permanently die if we drown.

Schlatt made his way back to the surface, and we were playfully arguing again about him coming to the bastion. He walked back to the tree, still unable to climb the tower. Even if was partially joking with Schlatt, I really did want him to come up here with me. I missed him, and I just wanted to tell him how I felt. I knew we weren't going to make it out of here alive, so we could at least have some fun before the end.

"Fuck you, I'm going back to the house." I heard Schlatt say before he dove back into the water.

"You can't get to the house!" I said, pleading that he would stop being so childish and just come to the bastion with me.

Schlatt swam further into the water.

beep. beep. beep.

My timer went off as my eyes widened, knowing what was coming next.

"Schlatt!" I called out, scared he wouldn't make it as I fearfully watched the water rise again.

"I'm panicking! I'm- I'm not gonna make it!" I heard Schlatt yell, voice laced with existential fear.

"FUCK!" he yells out before I check the bracelet on my wrist that showed me chat messages.

"Jschlatt was blown up by creeper"

Thank god.

Schlatt and I made an agreement that If I came down to visit him in our old home, He would visit me. So I set off to go find our place. When I finally reached the building, Schlatt was underground doing something.

We had two minutes on the clock, and I knew there was only one option left. I got my axe out and began destroying the house, I was sad to see Schlatt's first house destroyed, but took comfort in knowing we would survive longer.

"Why did it get so dark in here?" Schlatt said, discovering the water that flooded the building.

"Why is it really dark?" Schlatt asked fervently

"WILBUR YOU PRICK!" I heard Schlatt scream as I began laughing.

Schlatt took off, chasing after me with an axe. I swam as fast as possible, gasping when I reached the surface, he landed a few hits and I was wounded, but it was all in good fun.

"Schlatt listen to me!" I yelled to him, causing him to stop dead in his tracks.

The timer went off, and the water rose.

beep. beep. beep.
