Tulsa, Oklahoma

WE HAD ARRIVED back in Tulsa, finally. The one thing I wanted was for Soda to explain to me why any of this happened. I also wanted to know how he was chosen to be prince- a hood from Tulsa. It was a snow day in Tulsa, as it was December. I sat in the living room of the Curtis' house, bundled up in a blanket next to Sodapop.

"What are you going to tell your mom? Y'know, about me?"
"Not sure. Maybe we can make it simple and just tell her you chose me."
"Well didn't I choose you?" He said, with a sparkle in his eye.
"I guess so!" I said laughing.

Me and Sodapop's relationship was amazing. I still don't really know what made him so drawn to me- but we just had this twin-flame relationship, Ponyboy and Steve even said they think we're "soulmates" or something. Maybe we were.

I knew things weren't right back in Italy, you could say that everything was too perfect. Sodapop had told me about how toxic it would have been if I had become princess. He said I would have to live up to their expectations, not his or even my own. I was happy that Sodapop and I made a run for it, who knows what would have happened if we stayed.

"So," I started. "It was all a lie."
"Hard to believe, but yes."
"It's not a masquerade, it's a liar's masquerade."

The End.
