The Lone Apple Tree

The lone apple tree,
Planted by the beach,
Swaying by the sea,
Through the seasons,

Planted with care,
Sheltered from the cold,
Growing and growing,
Years and years,
That lone apple tree,

The lone apple tree,
It gives and gives,
But never seems to receive,

Apples and Blossoms,
The Autumn leaves,
The lone apple tree,
Provides for all,
Who visits the trunk,
Of its tree.

After years of weather,
Slowly fading,
It withers,
Bark to dust,
Apples to mush,
Nothing much left to see of,
The lone apple tree.
