My Fear

Fear,

Scared of snakes or snakes,

Heights,

Darkness,

The normal fears,

My fear,

Goes beyond that,

It captivates me,

Losing you,

Having it all,

Just to figure out it was nothing,

This is yet the tip of the iceberg of,

My Fear.

Being Alone,

Not the worst,

I can handle it,

Until,

It turns into,

Feeling alone.

Feeling alone is,

My true fear,

Not having anyone,

Me truly alone,

Against the world.

The room will start to shrink,

Everything will collapse,

With me left all alone,

No one to help pick up the pieces,

No one to dry my tears,

To say it'll be okay.

I surround myself,

With people,

Even if I don't like them,

Just to not be alone.

These words,

Tell no lies,

They reveal,

My true self,

My Fear.
