six. reunited

Harry and Ivy had grown really close to each other and knew everything about the other. He told her about how Draco was and how their relationship progressed and she told him about how she was afraid to be left out at Hogwarts. "Listen Vee, it's completely okay for you to have that feeling, even I didn't know people would even like me, but you'll be popular as hell," she nodded shyly and said "what if I'm sorted into Slytherin?" Harry smiled gently at her and said "then Slytherin will have earned an amazing witch and a much better person, okay? I don't care what house you go to, all I care about is that you're happy, and I'll do everything to make sure you're happy, and I think I may be a little overprotective but I don't care, I just got a sister!" Ivy chuckled and said "thanks Harry," and since they were in her room, they just fell asleep there, as they were waiting to be called for lunch.

Draco knocked on Ivy's door an hour later, wanting to call them down for lunch, instead he walked in on the most wholesome picture. Harry was sleeping in an oversize, extremely oversized, probably Remus' old jumper and Ivy was curled up into his shoulder with two unicorn ears from her onesie poking up into Harry's cheek. He shook Ivy awake first and she woke up instantly, he woke up Harry right after by placing a soft kiss on his forehead, he was about to pull away when Harry pulled him close and said "stay," Draco chuckled huskily and said "lunch's ready, love, your mum's calling," Harry was dead-afraid of his mothers rage but he loved her a lot. Ivy groaned and said "do you have to be this cute?" Harry put on his glasses, yawned and got up, cracked a few bones and looked at his sweater "damn Uncle Moony for being so big," he muttered, Ivy and Draco laughed. They walked towards the kitchen and met and hugged the others, Draco was very happy to be here and got accustomed to the others well enough.

At lunch, James cleared his throat and said "family meeting!" and Draco felt very out of place, and James noticed and he said "I get that you don't feel like you should be part of this, but you're family now, especially since you're dating my son," Harry's chest swelled with pride as he heard the words 'my son' and 'you're family' and he reached for Draco's hand and intertwined their fingers. Draco blushed at James' comment and minutely smiled when Harry held his hand and then James said "anywho, those present at this table count as family, including Draco, Ron and Hermione, okay?" He waited for them to nod and then continued "now that that's cleared. Lily and I have been thinking and we think it's appropriate to take you children and Remus-yes Sirius I counted you as child- and go to Mumbai, just for a visit, y'know?" Harry was ecstatic. Everyone in that room was beaming and then Harry realised that the Weasleys and the Grangers don't know about them being here and he said "Ron and 'Mione's parents don't know we're here," Lily joined in the conversation as they ate and she said "yeah, now that term's over, we'll invite all the Weasleys and the Grangers over and properly reintroduce ourselves, how's that sound, Harry?" 

Harry smiled at her and Remus added "well, we'll invite Narcissa and Lucius as well, if we're inviting everyone, because if Ron and Draco have secretly been friends then, well... the parents could also y'know? get acquainted," Draco got in now and said "maybe we could invite Blaise and Pans as well, if you don't mind..." Lily smiled and said "of course dear," Harry saw Ivy's excitement and smiled her, I mean, it's a big deal, her first big dinner. They continued their banter and after dinner, Harry said "can Ivy and I go flying, I figured she hasn't been on a broom yet, so..." James smiled and said "yeah let's go!" Harry interrupted him and said "maybe it's better if the two of us go alone, if she's nervous, and then you guys could join us an hour later?" James smiled at Harry's thoughtfulness and said "wait for some time, don't want you to barf on the Pitch," he said and Remus said "can we play basketball right after?" "Play what?" said Ron and Draco, and Remus explained what basketball was.

Half an hour later, Harry and Ivy went to the Pitch. They reached there, and Harry took in the deep-blue sky and smiled. He looked at Ivy and said "I'm going to tell you exactly how I learned to fly, I just flew. You keep your broom to your right" -she kept it down- "extend your hand over it, and say 'up!'" she did that and the broom flew right into her hand and she looked gasped lightly. Harry smiled at her and said "now mount the broom- like this," he showed her how to do it, and she followed. He levitated a bit and then touched down and she followed exactly what he did. He smiled and said "good. Now, this is quite the opposite of how my first fly went, so... anyway... let's continue. We go higher now and maybe wanna take a lap of the court?" She looked nervous and nodded. She flew a little high and he had his wand at the ready to cast an 'Aresto Momentum' just in case. She took a lap and Harry saw her face for one tiny moment and all he could pick up was joy and just pure bliss. Calm. And he related, because that's exactly what he felt, everytime he flew.
