"You heard about 30 shooting D-mac party up?" Chelly asked and I shook my head no
"30 been beefin with D-Mac and nem for a brick. They had a whole shootout" she said
"Ohhh I know what you talkin bout. I seen it on hoodz and news. D-Mac lil brother got shot inna neck or something " I said
"Yeah Saya said he died this morning" she said referring to his girlfriend
D-Mac little brother name Nekwante but everybody knows him as Pooley. Even teachers call him Pooley. We had a few classes together and he was scary as hell. He was real heavy in the streets too
"They was close as hell. I know he hurting" I said
"Yeah D-mac bouta paint the city red" Chelly said shaking her head
"You wanna stay with me for a couple days" I asked her twisting my lips
"Yea. They been getting on my nerves this whole week" she said shaking her head
"Dj too?" I asked referring to her little brother
"Nah I asked his friend mova could he stay the night at his friend house for a couple days. Vince back" she said rolling her eyes
Chelly doesn't have the best parents. Her mom married her stepdad and he has 3 kids a little younger than us. Her mom basically pushed Chelly and Dj to the side.
"His old ass. Swear her somebody father but dont even act like one" I said shaking my head
Vince is a terrible father and step father. He lets his kids act any kind of way and they get no consequences but soon as Chelly or Dj does something he wanna be their father
"How was it seeing your real dad?" She asked
"Hes not my real dad... just by blood but it was okay I guess. I didn't know what to expect but it's like I'm kinda disappointed. I just felt weird because he was instantly clicking with Zy and true and I was just sitting there" I said shrugging
"You just gotta get used to it best. All dis shit hitting you at one time just relax"
"Yea you right but guess what he told me. He said the reason he wasn't in my life was because my mom didn't want him in it" I said
"Damn.. but come on do you really think your mom would do that?" She asked
"I don't know. I don't even know her for real" I said shrugging
She was talking but I was tuning her out. I was just sitting there touching my locket that was around my neck.
"Girl is you listening to me?" She asked smacking her teeth
