"When you coming home baby boy?" My mama asked me
"Mama come on. I been here for a lil minute" I said smacking my teeth
"I know I just miss my son. When are you bringing that pretty girlfriend of yours up here to meet me?" She asked
"I'm not" I said
As much as I love my mama she is toxic as hell. It's definitely her way her no way and it been like that since I was a kid. Shit got so bad I had to move out at 17 just so we could have a healthy relationship. I know it sound weird but that's just how shit went. She not the worst mama she just wasn't finished healing.
"Well then I'm coming to see her myself" she said with an attitude
"Ight look. I got a shoot in New York in a couple weeks. I'll ask her if she wanna come" I said
"Good. Let me know" she said
We talked for a little bit longer before I finally hung up. Ma dukes can talk for hours. I ain't have shit to do today so I called I texted Saige and told her I was gon pull up on her.
She said she was at her shop so I left out my building and got in my car. I drove to the lil sushi place she like and got her the shit she always get. When I got to her shop she looked tired as hell.
"Wassup yall" I said to everybody
"Hey" they replied back
"Hey baby" I said once I got to her and gave her a kiss
"hey" she said dryly
"Come talk to me right quick" I said seriously
"Ard let me dip her hair real quick" she said
I walked to the back where her office was and she came in behind me shortly. I embraced her and she let out a long sigh.
"What's wrong Baby? I asked
"My feet and my back hurt. I been standing here since 7 this morning. I don't know what's wrong I do this all the time." She said
I sat on her desk and directed her to sit in the chair. I took off her shoe and started massaging her foot.
