Chapter 3

Jungkook's POV

I smile over at y/n, she looked particularly pretty today. I loved when she barely wore make up, she was naturally beautiful so she didn't need all the extra crap. "Ready for lunch?" I nod even though I didn't want to go, my mother always nagged me about everything. But she adored y/n so I was hoping most of the attention would be on her today and not me.

"Sorry about the other night by the way"

She chuckles and shrugs her shoulders "I'm used to it, I could tell your girlfriends I'm into girls and they'll still hate me for whatever reason"

"It's cause your pretty"

She snorts which makes me smile, she was so nerdy sometimes. "That was a good joke I'll give one point to jk" I roll my eyes and she smiles "You are pretty, especially today did you change your hair or something?" She shakes her head and turns up the radio, her attempt to ignore the compliment. She wasn't good with those, being a sarcastic asshole? Yes she was very good at that.

I smile as she starts to sing the song on the radio, it's actually Hoseok's new song so her excitement only heightens. I sing along as well and continue to drive, my mother didn't want us to be photographed today so she insisted we have lunch at her house today. Which I didn't mind I hadn't been home in a while anyways.

"You think Hoseok would marry me if I asked?"

I laugh as y/n smiles widely "No just be with me I'm better looking anyways" she laughs and shakes her head "No way! Hoseok is gorgeous and so charming and Ugh his voice when he raps...I can't I just can't let me marry the man" I shake my head at the crazy lady and continue to drive.

As we pull up y/n's face lights up she always loved coming back to my parents house she said it reminded her of the good ol days when I wasn't annoying. "I bet you fifty dollars she hugs me first" I roll my eyes making y/n laugh "No cause we know she's going to ignore me completely once she sees you"

"Oh y/n! I'm so happy to see you"

I tsk as y/n quickly makes her way up the steps and into my mother's arms, they don't even look in my direction as they exchange hellos and head into the house. I swear they both do this on purpose to get under my skin, which I didn't mind I loved that my mom loved y/n. It was very hard not to love the girl.

"Hello I'm here too"

I shout as I shut the front door behind me, they both laugh and then my mother comes over to hug me "Hi handsome boy it's about time you come home" I smile and embrace her back and watch as y/n quickly disappears to the kitchen. I know she's going to see the staff, they were just as much family as anyone else in this house.

"Please tell me you two are dating finally"

"Mom stop we just got here and you know I have a girlfriend"

She rolls her eyes and links her arm with mine "Yes yes I seen the photos, our y/n is far prettier and I just say it's a bit ridiculous I have to find out who your seeing through the media" I groan making her tsk at me. "Sorry mom I've been busy"
