A/N: Anything in italics is English
Jimin
"My poor little brain." Jimin moaned as he tried to read the menu. We were in the states, and they didn't particularly cater for non-English speakers. Poor Jimin was struggling immensely with the language barrier."Why don't you order?" I suggested. Jimin and I had gone to a nearby restaurant to grab something to eat, keeping our heads low, to avoid attention. Crowds in the states became a lot, and the guys struggled to ask Army to stay back in English.
"No. No way." He scoffed, "You're the fluent one."
"I'm pretending I can't speak English when the waiter comes over." I smirked, "You can do it, it'll help you be more confident."
"I hate you. So much." He hissed through a forced smile as the waiter approached.
"What can I get started for you guys?" He smiled warmly.
"I speak English not." Jimin tried, looking at me warily, "But I will try."
"That's the spirit." I gave him a thumbs up.
"Oh, that's no problem at all." The waiter smiled again, "What can I get for you guys to eat?" This guy seemed nice, obviously clarifying for Jimin what he was asking.
"I want cheeseburger." Jimin pointed to the menu and the waiter nodded, completely understanding.
"And for you?" The waiter turned to me but I shook my head, gesturing with my hands, "English, no, no."
Jimin glared at me, "What are you doing? Just order."
"I can't speak English remember, you order for me. I'll take a pizza."
"She want Pizza." Jimin looked back at the waiter, who scribbled on his notepad.
"Awesome. That'll be right out for you guys."
The waiter left us, Jimin scowling at me furiously, "You're lucky I'm so good at English." He sulked and I laughed lightly.
Taehyung
We'd never done this before, a fan-sign in English, but we had no choice, being in England and everything. Some of Army really blew me away, speaking to me in near perfect Korean, but the majority of my interactions were in English.I noticed some of the guys were struggling, but we had an interpreter on standby, and we tried to make sure Jungkook, Namjoon and I had two other people on either side of us. Us three were the best at English so did our best to translate for the guys.
"Hana," Tae muttered beside me, as one fan rambled quickly in English to him.
"Sweetheart," I placed my hand on top of the little girls shaking one, "Try speak a little slower, he's struggling to understand you."
"I thought you guys would speak English, you know, in England." She had an attitude, a big one for a girl the size of her. She looked about fourteen or fifteen.
"We're trying our best." I forced a smile, "The guys have been working super hard on their English recently, to prepare for this. It's difficult to understand a foreign language when they speak so fast."
"Whatever." She pulled her hand away from mine, and turned back to Tae. I watched her enunciate painfully slowly, like she was mocking him.
Trying to keep my cool, I spoke to the fan in front of me, but I couldn't help but snap when I heard Tae's girl say, "I don't even like you that much anyway."
I knew Taehyung understood, the hurt on his face said it all, "Oh," He answered, "I'm sorry."
"Listen kid." I reached across the table, "We didn't come here to be insulted."
"Hana," Tae tried to stop me, "It's okay. It's nothing I haven't heard before."
I ignored him.
"I think you should leave." I glared at the girl.
"I don't really like the rest of you anyways." She flicked her hair dramatically and sauntered away.
"Asswipe." I muttered under my breath.
Jungkook
"You still up?" I peered in the door of Jungkook's room. His door had been cracked open slightly, the light waking me up."Oh. Sorry." He apologised, seeing me standing half-asleep at his door, "I didn't mean to wake you."
"What are you even doing?" I rubbed my eyes, sitting on his bed and wrapping his blanket round myself. Jungkook was hunched over his desk, about 20 books open in front of him. I glanced to the clock next to him, it read 3:36am.
"English." He shrugged, "There's been a lot of English comments on my V-Lives recently and it's frustrating that I can't answer them."
"Do you have to do it at half three in the morning." I yawned.
"I've been busy all day. This is the only time I've got."
"This is sleep time."
"Yeah, and I will sleep," He assured, "Just when I finish this last bit."
"Let me help you then," I offered, "You'll get it done faster that way."
"No." He chuckled, "You can barely keep your eyes open. Just go back to bed, I can do this myself."
"Let me see." I demanded, trailing the blanket around the room, "Oh. Tenses. That's rough."
Jungkook rubbed his eyes, "It's past tense that throws me off. There's no rules or conformity to it. The word just changes."
"Tell me what you did yesterday." I asked, figuring that a natural conversation would be better than reading a book.
"I waked up." He started.
"Woke." I corrected gently.
"Right, right." He shook his head, "I woke up, and ate breakfast and danced at studio and singed at studio."
"Sung."
"Sung at studio. And came home. And slept." He looked proud of himself for remembering the past tense of sleep.
"JK, that's not half bad." I congratulated.
We spent another 40 minutes talking about things we'd done in the past. Every now and again Jungkook would scribble down a new word.
"We should really call it quits now." My eyes had gone lazy I was so tired.
"Yeah." Jungkook finally agreed with a sigh, "Thank you."
"Of course." I answered, dragging myself off his bed and towards my own room.
"Uh...Hana?" He stopped me.
"Yeah?" I answered, not bothering to stop and continued to walk slowly to my room.
"My blanket."
"It's mine now." I grumbled, flopping onto my own bed and snuggling into it.
A/N: There we go, as promised. I have a big set of chapters coming but they're all kinda interconnected so I want to post them all at the same time, so updates might be a little slow for the next few days, while I work on that. I'll try my best to still do one chapter a day but I can't promise anything. Hope you enjoyed! See you next time ;)
