(14) Not Again..

Two and half months later 

"Morning baby.." Bucky said as he came into the bathroom. 

She looked down as she saw a positive pregnancy test. 

"Baby is that uh.." Bucky said as he finished peeing. 

He came over to her once he was done. 

"You're pregnant?" He said with delight in his features. 

"Don't get to excited. You and I both know my body rejects pregnancies." She said as threw the test in the trash. 

"Lenny..come on you don't know that." He said as he took back out and followed her to the bedroom. 

She sat down on the edge of their bed. He knelt down in front of her and held her face. 

"Don't be like this. You don't know why you couldn't get past your first trimester because you wouldn't talk to the doctor. So call the doctor and make an appointment for us to see this baby we made. And if it happens again we will see a specialist Len. There are other ways to make a baby and grow a family." He said 

She smiled at him as she kissed him.

Two weeks later 

"Okay, oh we have a last name change. Congratulations Mrs Barnes." Dr Ingrid Winters. 

"Yes this is my husband James Barnes." She said 

"Nice to meet you James. I'm Dr Ingrid Winters." Ingrid said 

"Nice to meet you Dr Winters." Bucky said as they shook hands.

"Alright Len. You know drill lay back." Ingrid said 

Ingrid put the ultrasound gel on her stomach used the wand to rub it all in. 

"Judy hit the lights." Ingrid said to her nurse.

The lights were out. Suddenly the room was filled with a heartbeat sound. 

"Okay, Lenny you are 12 weeks on the nose. With a set of twins due in June. And those are some strong healthy heartbeats mama. You are officially a month away from your second trimester." Ingrid said

Lenae felt tears fall as Bucky squeezed her hand then kissed her hand. Lenny broke into tears he came over to her and kissed her forehead. 

"It's okay baby relax okay let her finish." He whispered as he caressed her face. 

"Judy you can turn the lights back on." Ingrid said 

Once the light were back Ingrid handed her their own copies of the ultrasound. 

"Lenae I'm going to be real Frank if you don't mind. I think the reason why you could never make it past 8 weeks is because of your blood pressure. I looked over your chart..today was the first time you have came into my office with a steady healthy blood pressure reading. High blood pressure is caused by a lot of things but mainly stress. So whatever lifestyle change you have made since your ex husband please keep it up. And James I hope to see more of you in here with her cause I've never met her ex husband she was always alone. So congrats you two and I'll see you next month." She said 

"Thank you Dr Winters." Lenae said as she looked up at Bucky. 

They shared a kiss before leaving the office. When she hit 16 weeks a month later they had everyone at her parents house. They announced their pregnancy over dinner. Natasha texted Bucky. 

"Let me know when you two are going to find out the genders. I want to throw her a reveal party." 

He nodded to her across the table and deleted the text.
