The Business Trip

(3) Broken

Five months later 

"What do you all want to drink? We have club soda wine beer and water" Lenae said as she entered her apartment. 

Natasha and Bucky were with her. But just as Natasha was about say her drink of choice. A loud sound filled the air. 

"What was that?" Nat said 

"I don't know.." Len said as she went looking for something in the closet by the front door. 

"Stay behind me girls." Bucky said as they heard it again. 

"It's coming from the bedroom. Is Wes home?" Nat whispered 

"He's out of to-.." Len whispered as a loud moan filled the air. 

Lenae swung open the bedroom door to find her husband with his PA on top of him. 

"Weston! What the hell is this? You said that you were out of town?!" She said 

Weston and Chassidy got up and began to pull on clothes. 

"You said she wouldn't be home till around 10.." chassidy whispered 

"What was that?" Lenae said 

"Lenny baby. I'm sorry just let me explain.." Weston said 

"Explain what! I know what I saw it's called sex Wes. And you...you clearly..have been doing a lot of it with her." Lenae said when she saw the tiny swell of her husband's mistress. 

"Lenny baby I'm sorry. Okay? It's just she was there when I got the phone call about your miscarriage..and we had a few drinks.." he said 

Lenny smacked him hard. "I needed you! I needed you to be there for me Damn it! But now I know why you weren't! Because instead of being there for me your god damn wife you were making another baby with her!" Lenae snapped 

"Well atleast I can carry a baby." Chassidy said 

Lenny walked over to her and punched square in the jaw. Natasha pulled her back. 

"I suggest you shut your damn mouth Chass." Natasha said 

"Lenny.." Weston said 

"I'm gonna go and you can call me later Wes." Chassidy said 

"No Chassidy you stay honey. It's clear that what I say or how I feel doesn't matter to him. Because I told him to get rid of your ass a year ago. But he didn't did you?" She said 

"Lenae.." Weston said 

"Don't talk to me! I told you I didn't like her. And you kept saying oh baby you have nothing to worry about it's all innocence flirting. What I just walked in on isn't innocence anymore." She said 

"Really? What about James?" Weston said 

"What about me?" Bucky said as he stepped into the room. 

"Yeah what about him? He doesn't flirt he never steps out of line he's never done anything to disrespect you or our marriage. So don't you dare compare her hoe ass to him. I'm leaving you and Chassidy have a nice life." She said as she began to pack her stuff. 

"Lenny.." Weston said 

Each bag and suitcase Nat and Len had full Bucky packed to the three cars they had driven to the penthouse. Weston stopped him at the door by the 4th trip. 

"James stop." Weston said 

"I don't work for you. I work for Lenny now move." Bucky said as he made him move and walked out the door. 

Once they were all done moving her stuff out. They were standing by the cars as she scrolled through her phone. 

"Do you need a place to stay?" Bucky said 

"I..um I'm gonna see if I can stay with Jace or Rae." She said 

"No you are not. I've been trying to find someone to take over my lease Lenny. I'm marrying Matt in two months. I have already moved my things out and it's still furnished. You take over my lease." Nat said 

"Nat.." she whispered 

"You can afford it. And besides you need your own place. So come on Buck you know where it is." Nat said 

"Yeah." He said 

They all left and headed to Nat's old place and got all of her stuff moved in. After Nat left it was just her and Bucky. 

She was looking over the city skyline as she had her forehead pressed against the glass. Sniffles then tears fell. Bucky came over to her and hugged her. As soon as he did that the flood gates opened as she cried in his arms. 

"Shh Lenny it's alright. It's gonna be okay..he can't hurt you anymore." He said as he picked her up and carried her upstairs. 

He laid with her and held her as he rubbed her back. Just as he thought she was asleep he gently laid her down on the pillow. As he got to to the door. 

"Bucky..don't leave me. Stay and hold me I don't want to be alone."  She said as she sniffled. 

"Okay.." he said as he came back over to her. 

He slipped off his shoes and glasses. She went to change into something more comfortable as he slipped off his pants he left his white t shirt on as she came back out. She scooted close to him and laid her head on his chest. 

The next morning while he made her breakfast while she still slept. Her cellphone was ringing it was her sister Jace. He explained everything to her as he flipped bacon. Jace said that she would let the family know but to keep away while she took her time to grieve. Natasha took care of their friends. 

Lenae came down when she smelt the bacon and coffee. He handed her a cup of coffee.

"Thank you." She whispered 

"Here you go." He said as he laid a plate down. 

"Thank you." She said 

"Here is your phone. I called Verizon had them block Weston's number he called and texted you over 100 times. And your sister called I explained everything to her and she said she would tell your parents." He said 

"Bucky..we aren't at work slow down and eat please." She said 

"Sorry." He said as he sat beside her and they had breakfast together. 

After she helped him clean up. 

"Will stay with me so I'm not alone?" She said 

"Of course. I just need to go by my place and get somethings." He said 

"Can I go with you?" She said 

"Yeah.." he said as he wiped a tear that fell down her cheek. 

After they got back to the penthouse they cuddled up on the couch and spent the day watching Netflix.
