Living on the maw wasn't exactly easy, but at least I wasn't alone I had Six she had always been there for me from the very start, we had explored almost everywhere

Our only setback was her occasional hunger, I always felt bad for her because she seemed like she was in such pain.. doubling over and whimpering

But we had always found some food for her before the hunger would become unbearable, at first it definitely shocked me.. because I thought she was gonna eat me or something

Currently we are just taking a small walk, slipping past some of the creatures that are aboard this place, I was a master of stealth and so was six.. well for the most part.

She would sometimes throw vases at people though..

I noticed her demeanor seemed slightly off "hey six are you okay?" I spoke softly in concern furrowing my eyebrows as I looked at her "yes y/n im okay."

Something about her answer threw me off usually she would turn back to me and give me a smile or even a tiny hug for reassurance 'I swear this horrid place is changing her'

Moving faster I walked alongside her and peeked over just a bit to see if she would notice me, but she didn't 'oh well maybe she is just tired'

We continued on walking ahead when I fell back slightly because I had stumbled over a floorboard, cursing down quietly I regained my balance and lifted my head up

I noticed six had stopped walking so I started to head towards her "hey six whats wron-" I was thrown off when she turned to face me, this was unlike anytime I had been near her before... she looked cold and angry

"Woah- six! a-are you hungry?" She didn't respond which worried me more I reached a hand out to pat her shoulder comfortingly when she suddenly lunged at me

I yelped and scrambled back in shock "six what the hell?!" I had fallen onto my elbows staring up at her in fright, she groaned out in pain and leaned down towards me

I scooted back and turned around to find her something to eat when I felt her push me down "six STOP" I spoke louder starting to fear her more

Her nails had dug into my leg piercing the skin and slowly causing blood to trickle and slide from the wound, I whimpered in pain and pulled away running the opposite direction

'It was just an accident.. just an accident.. I need to get her food!' Brushing aside my thoughts I looked for something to feed her with

Now in a slight panic when I found nothing, I moved onto another room hearing some noises like something was caught in a trap 'what is that?' I stepped inside and noticed a rodent.. or rat

Sighing I knew this would have to do, I winced in pain and leaned over snapping the rats neck and picking it up slowly, running back to where six was

Getting there seconds later I spotted her lying there in pain and I frowned feeling guilty for taking so long, very cautiously I placed the rat next to her head and moved away from her

She reached over with speed and snatched the rat biting down on it, I scrunched my nose up in slight disgust when I heard the crack from the rats bones as she ate

When she finished she looked over at me wiping the remains off of her face and rubbed her shoulder feeling guilty "y/n im sorry- I should have told you I was hungry!" Suddenly she stopped speaking

I raised my eyebrow in confusion "hey its okay six.. I know how hard it can be for you-" she cut me off and spoke in shock "y-you're bleeding! Did I do that?!" She pulled the hood of her raincoat down and moved towards me

I flinched back in shock and a hurt look crossed over her face, sighing I moved over to her "six its okay! Its not too bad.. I forgive you" She was hunched over "I can't believe I hurt you..! Maybe im just too dangerous to stick near you.."

Shock spread across my face and I leaned to her and wrapped my arms around her hugging tightly "please don't say that six.. we have been together since the beginning" she slowly hugged me back placing her head against my shoulder

"But y/n this is different I hurt you!" I pulled away and looked her dead in the eye "and im okay! next time just try to tell me when you are hungry" I softly smiled at her and rubbed her hair in reassurance

She looked down with a tiny red blush and spoke very quietly "I didn't wanna be a burden.." I gasped and gave her a light tap on the head "six! You are NOT a burden"

She rubbed her shoulder slowly and ripped off a piece of cloth that was on a bin and leaned down to my leg "hey what are you doing-" she carefully wrapped the cloth over my wound being gentle

"I will remember to tell you next time y/n!" She spoke with determination and stood up she smiled at me and grabbed my face placing a kiss onto my forehead

A pink blush spread across my face at her rare affectionate gesture "we are a team don't forget that!" I smiled back at her.
