When we were younger we listened to our

parents lies cried over spilt milk broken toys

and broken promises but as we age playing

with friends becomes less interesting school

becomes more like prison than it is a learning

experience books on top on books are stacked

up and thrown down your throat it's

suffocating like your 6ft under water no air in

sight waking just to get out of bed seams more

like a chore than it is a option the smiles on our

faces vanish replacing them with indifference

bags under our eyes heavy bags that drag us

down sleep became a forging land dreams died

as reality became real stifled minds cried out

for help but were only met by unsolicited

opinions  that left scares engraved deep into

ones self as children grew older wishes grew

faint as if never there naïve little children we

were people of the world we became this is our reality                                                                                                                                           -𝖆𝖍
