You step back as your family barge their way toward the symbol that magically appeared.
Suddenly the cave begins to shake and every ounce of light scattered begins to fade to complete darkness.
MM immediately clings on to your father and in the darkness you find yourself stepping backward and linking your fingers between Regina's as she stands behind you.
You hear her intake sharply for a moment and worry about how she will react, before you feel her squeeze your hand gently. You close your eyes and without even realising, you begin to slowly lean backwards. Before you realise, you feel Regina's perfectly manicured hand rest onto your back, steadying you before you've leaned too far. Instead of tensing at the touch you find your body relaxing into it. Regina must notice this too as she begins to step toward you from behind, stroking her hand slowly across to rest on your waist. You feel your heartbeat quicken and although it's highly inappropriate, the intimacy between you both in the darkness is getting you more turned on than you'd ever admit.
"I won't let anything happen to you." Regina softly whispers into your ear, knowing only you could hear it.
Hiding your shiver and thanking god she can't see your smirk or the way your pupil's dilate in that moment. You had to admit, knowing how powerful she was in the fairytale world kind of turns you on. Having the notoriously cold 'evil queen' protect you does sound awfully fun.
You begin to press your body further back into her own, loving the feel of her warmth and touch slowly making it's way around you; protecting you.
The cave's rumbling begins to increase.
"Swan?! What's going on?" Killian begins to yell over the sound of the rumbling cave.
"Someone needs to tell a secret!" Emma yelps and you see her panic when the light flashes once over the group.
"Don't be ridiculous!" Regina barks from behind you, and although you can't see it, you know she's rolling her eyes once again.
"It has to be your deepest secret for us to get out of here and back to Storybrooke!" Emma steadies herself as the cave shakes rather violently.
No one answers; clearly too afraid of risking spilling information to no avail. Emma rolls her eyes and groans heavily.
"No one brave enough to help us out? Fine! I'll do it." She grumbles as she forces herself upright. "Mom... Dad..." she squeezes her eyes shut as if she's in pain, before blurting out. "I still resent you for abandoning us as kids." She keeps her eyes to the floor and everyone watches with open mouths as the shaking begins to halt.
The silence pierces through the dark air and you swear you could feel the air become thicker.
"I'm sorry." She mumbles. "I know it isn't your fault but the little girl inside of me still misses her parents watching her grow up. We grew up alone." She finally reaches her parents eyes and hangs her head slightly in shame as your mother embraces her tightly.
The light has gradually returned and so you drop Regina's hand instantly.
"Well- at least we know the saviour was right after all." Killian adds with a snicker, which no one finds funny.
"The cave will shake again until we have each shared. Unless we decide we want to save ourselves the trouble and spill it now."
You hear Regina scoff behind you but pretend not to notice.
"I'll go next." Killian smirks as he spreads his arms out, demanding full attention as he steps into the slight circle that's been made. "I think you're the most beautiful lady I've ever had the pleasure of laying eyes upon." His predatory eyes turn to yours and you have to swallow down the sickly feeling in your stomach.
"Killian." Emma groans in annoyance. "That's hardly a secret. We've all seen you shamelessly hitting on my little sister."
"All? No one told me about this!" Your father puffs up his chest and gives his best threatening stare to hook.
"Okay, fine." He groans, a blush clearly clawing its way up his neck and onto his face. "I drink to forget how much I still love my first."
Emma nods firmly as if to signify the end of his part in the plan, he looks a little sheepish as he steps back.
"I'll go." Your mother bravely interferes. She takes a shaky breath before clenching her fists together. "I want another baby."
"What?" You and Emma both mutter in complete shock.
"I know." She winces. "I just want to be able to have another family. I regret not seeing the two of your grow up everyday."
You see Emma purse her lips, clearly she's stopping herself from starting an argument right now.
"Dad?" She sharply asks, wanting to move on swiftly.
"Uh.." he startles and steps forward, puffing his chest like usual. "I don't believe that Regina's changed. I can't trust her, especially around you two." He gestures to yourself and Emma and you hold back an eye roll.
You feel Regina shift behind you and just know she's holding back a snarky remark.
"Now it's you two." Emma sternly demands, knowing Regina's not gonna be an easy nut to crack.
"I don't know." You feel your heart start to race.
"Ivy." Emma scolds.
You roll your eyes.
"Okay. Fine." You argue. "I... uh- I have strong feelings for Regina." You blurt out at once, immediately feeling your cheeks burn and staring at the floor.
"What?!" You hear almost everyone squeal.
"I didn't say anything to any of you so I suggest you keep your mouth's shut!" You rebuttal firmly.
"Regina. Your turn." Emma commands, as if she's waiting for her to finally cough up.
"Please!" The brunette scoffs, crossing her arms across her chest. "I'm not giving in to this trivial game."
"It's not a game, Regina. This is life or death. Unlike you, not everyone is always scheming to get what they want. If you really want us to believe you can change, you need to do this."
"I don't need you to believe I can change." She scoffs again. "I'm changing for Henry and that's the only thing that matters to me."
Immediately you feel a stab through the heart. Damn. That was cold.
Emma immediately shoots her eyes to you and your walls shoot up.
"Get over yourself, Regina and put someone else before yourself for once." You spit out of hurt and begin to walk away."You're my true love."
A deafening silence creeps around the group as they all stare in shock. You turn to see Regina's chest heaving and her eyes full of emotion.
This can't be real.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" You frown harshly at her before suddenly being jolted across the room and into a bright purple light.
You feel yourself get lifted off the ground and notice it's as if you're being sucked upwards.
Great. What next?
