"Hi." You sheepishly say as you answer the door.
Regina's standing there in the most elegant black dress and she looks the most beautiful you've seen her.
The eyes burning into the back of your head suddenly bring you back to reality.
"Uh... hi." Regina croaks out, seemingly spaced out. "Are you ready to go?"
"Actually, yeah, I am." You were gonna invite her in but after everything, it's probably best not to. "Let's go."
You down your drink and shut the door behind you."I'm sorry for not inviting you in." You confess as you both make your way down the stairs. "I just thought it was probably best not to. I just wanna enjoy the night."
"You and I both, dear. I was not ready for that conversation." She giggles slightly.
"You look beautiful." You blurt.
"Oh. Really? Thank you." Regina blushes slightly. "I've never seen you like this."
"Like what?"
"So- ethereal."
"Oh, shut up." You giggle and punch her arm playfully.
"I'm serious. I think red's your colour."
"I think black is yours."
"Oh, I know, dear."
You laugh at how 'Regina' she is and how much you love it.
"You don't do much giving and taking of compliments do you?" You observe with a smirk.
"Oh, I think you know I do plenty of giving and taking, Miss Swan." Regina quips flirtily.
Leaving you with your mouth agape and a blush creeping it's way across your face."You're doing another tequila shot again tonight."
"No."
"You can't say no."
"And why's that, Miss Swan?"
"Because you can't say no to me." You smartly respond with a cheeky grin.
Regina raises her eyebrows with a smirk, though she doesn't protest.
Once you call them over, she merely rolls her eyes and hands you her hand to do the salt.
"You know how to do it now. I think you just wanted me to lick you."
She rolls her eyes once more.
"Believe me Swan, if I wanted you to lick me, I could do better than the back of my hand."
You blush and she immediately lets out her infamous evil chuckle.
Someone's got a little pent up sexual frustration.About 8 shots in, Regina had almost finished her whole story.
"Jesus Christ."
"Yeah. The amount of times your Mother escaped me is honestly embarrassing." Regina purses her lips and rolls her eyes.
Her usual stoic mayor face.
"Huh. I would have never put Mom as the type to be a bandit."
"Well, I didn't either and look where it got me."
"It gave you Henry."
"Yeah. It also made the whole town and every living thing in the Enchanted Forest despise me."
"Everything happens for a reason, Regina. If you had killed my mother we would have never met. Maybe it's all some twisted turn of fate."
"Maybe." She smiles gently, as if she's in a whirlwind of pleasant thoughts. "Another round?"
"Another two rounds, please." You summon."Regina." You slightly slur, though Regina seems poised as ever.
"Mm?" She raises an eyebrow at you, seemingly entertained by your drunk behaviour.
"Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?"
She scoffs.
"Apart from you? No."
"They're liars."
"What?"
"I don't understand how everyone doesn't fall at your feet. I mean, I know you were evil or whatever but... you're so hot. I would just- give myself up."
Regina smirks wildly at you.
"You're drunk."
"I am not." You pull your face in closer to hers.
"You smell like tequila."
"You like it."
She scrunches her face up.
"Have some water."
"Are you babying me?"
"Are you drunk on the first date?"
"Hey! We've literally already had sex, you think this is a normal first date?"
"Touché." She cheer's your glass.
You watch her through your sips, admiring her beauty.
"Stop st-"
"Kiss me." You whisper.
"In public?" Regina falters.
"I don't care."
You pull her in for a kiss and she immediately kisses back, you feel the tension grow and Regina stops your hand from resting on her leg. You pout.
"I'm not letting you get carried away in public." She scolds.
"You're so beautiful." You muse.
"You're a liability." Regina quips.
Though she turns her head, you see her smitten grin in the corner of your eye. Cutest. You stumble home with Regina's arm around your waist.
"How are you not drunk? This actually isn't fair." You curiously ask, almost frustrated.
"I have years of practice."
"Regina, you're literally not old."
"Well..."
"What? You secretly immortal or something?" You giggle but stop when you sense her body stiffen. "Regina?"
"I'm... 71. But- it's complicated. I do age normally, but I just hit pause for 28 years." She winces.
"28 years?! So... in the curse you stopped aging?"
"Haven't you ever asked yourself why your parents seem no older than before?"
"Oh my god."
"Please don't freak out."
"I'm honestly past the point of freaking out at this point. My brain is beyond processing anymore." You continue walking ahead.
"Don't be mad! I'm telling you everything!" She scolds you.
"Im not mad, Regina! I'm confused! I am trying to get to know you and it's kind of hard when all these crazy curve balls are getting thrown in the way." You stumble but Regina catches you. "I still really like you. Nothing will change that. I'd hope you know that by now." You laugh and Regina eventually let's out a small laugh too.
At this point she's embracing you in the middle of the street outside the mansion.
"I'm just waiting for the moment you let me in to that pretty little heart of yours." You smile into her eyes and poke her chest gently with your finger. "And you let me treasure it the way you've always deserved."
Regina has tears in her eyes, clearly not wanting to ruin the moment.
She gazes at you for a second before releasing her breath.
"Do you want to come in or?"
You both let out a carefree laugh.
"I'd love to." You nod. "I think I need a glass of water."
"Oh, so now you take my advice."You chug the water and sit on the counter, drooping your head slightly but continuing to watch Regina with fuzzy eyes.
"I'm not letting you go home like this."
"Ooh. Is that your way of asking me to stay over?" You tease, as you make your way over to her personal space.
She grabs your chin with her hand gently.
"You wish. You're lucky Henry's at a friend's tonight or I'd have to explain why his aunt is acting so weird."
"Weird? I'll tell him I'm just trying to flirt with his mom." You wrap your arms around Regina and she hits you playfully.
"Stop that."
"Can I just tell you something? Just because I want to." Oh, god. Here comes the drunk confessionals. "I'm so sorry the world ever treated you badly."
"Ivy-"
"No. I am. If I could I would do everything in my power to go back in time and meet you and protect you from everything that life has ever thrown at you. You are such a special, beautiful soul. I am so lucky that you even took a second glance at me. If you hadn't I would have been bending over backwards for your attention."
"I would quite appreciate seeing that."
"I mean it."
"I know." Regina takes a serious tone. "Thank you. I can't quite process it but I will never understand what I did to deserve such a person as you."
"I can see it." You lean in about to kiss her but Regina frowns and pulls away.
"What?"
"Your heart."
She smiles deeply at you before kissing you with more tenderness than anyone has ever kissed anyone before.
