The Alpha Dogs walked in the halls. There were posters plastered all over the walls. At the end of the week, there was going to be a big dance. It was the talk of the school.

"Guys, with the dance coming up, I thought you could use a lesson on how to ask a lady out." Leo sauntered over to the lockers and the boys and Y/n followed.

"Oh, great. Do you know a guy who can teach us?" Adam laughed. Leo furrowed his eyebrows.

"Me! You're gonna watch me ask out the girl of my dreams: Danielle."

"Danielle?" Y/n asked, "Isn't she the girl who uses you as a footstool in math?" Leo eyed his sister.

"Where else is she supposed to put her feet? On the floor?! Open your notebooks, boys, because class is in session." Leo walked over to a girl with long blonde hair sitting on a bench in the middle of the room. He jumped on the bench and sat down next to her. "Hello, Danielle. Do you know how much a polar bear weighs? Enough to break the ice. I'm Leo Dooley."

"Five bucks, she calls him by a different name," Y/n whispered to Adam and Chase.

"Deal." They whispered back in unison. The three focused on the interaction again.

"Didn't you send me 87 e-mails?"

"Yeah." Leo sighed. "That was a slow day." Danielle, obviously freaked out, got up.

"Okay, well. See you later, Lenny." She walked away and Leo shot up.

"It's Leo, by the way!" He sulkily walked back to Adam, Bree, and Y/n. He saw Adam pull out his wallet and hand some money to Y/n with a sigh.

"So, Leo," Chase looked at his open notebook, "What should I write down in my notebook? I mean, other than 'denied'." Adam pulled out his own notebook.

"No, no, no. You can cheat off me. I have, 'She's not going to the dance with Lenny.'"

"Wait, I have something." Y/n looked at Leo, "Block Lenny's email." The three laughed as Leo rolled his eyes. Bree walked over to the group.

"Are you guys talking about the dance too? Why is everybody making such a big deal out of this stupid dance?" Y/n put her arm around Bree's shoulder.

"Nobody's asked you, Boo?" Bree pouted.

"No! I really wanna go with that guy." She pointed to a guy across the room opening his locker and talking with a friend. "His name is Ethan. We sit next to each other in chemistry. Coincidence? I think not. Chemistry!" Y/n interrupted.

"I have chem with Trent. I don't think school schedules mean as much as you think."

"What should I do?" Bree looked at Ethan with a frown. Chase stepped forward.

"I got this." Chase focused his ears on Ethan and his conversation. "He's talking about a girl he thinks is cute."

Chase stared at Ethan and then groaned.

"Ew! He's talking about you!" Y/n smacked him on the back of his head. Chase backed up. "He's coming over here right now to ask you about the dance."

Bree started to panic.

"What?! No! Now? Why? Really?" Y/n held her still when Ethan made it to the Alpha Dogs. He greeted them with a shy smile.

"Ethan! What a huge surprise!" Chase laughed nervously, "To see you here, for reasons we do not know." Y/n smacked him on the back of the head again. He walked to the back of the small crowd and started having a little argument with Y/n. Adam, Bree, Leo, and Ethan tried to ignore the bickering between the two.
