POV Alexis

Date: November

The only joy I got out of this situation is that I let those boys who had taken me from the hall, drag me towards wherever we were going. I hadn't even taken the effort to walk with them, I just hung in their arms and made them carry me. Seemingly, I was heavier than they had expected because I spotted a drop of sweat on the forehead of the smaller guy on my left. As a smiling little kid, my head went from left to right as I assessed which one of them was having the most trouble hauling me through the building. Alonzo and Zack a good while behind, talking and following wherever we were going. I think the painkillers must have numbed my senses and emotions because for some reason I didn't feel as scared as I think I should have been, if that made any sense.

We arrived at a luxurious office where the guys dropped me on the floor with a loud thud. They instantly left back through the doors. Zack and Alonzo nonchalantly stepping into the room. It was rather empty, some couches with a tapestry, paintings covered the walls and artefacts were on display in the closets on the sides. The room had this dark glossy glasslike floor with dark matte-coloured walls. It felt so, suffocating. As I looked to the front, I saw a dark oak desk with behind it, Mr Slick himself. Then again behind him, huge glass windows that probably looked over the arena from above. I spotted that one window could open to a balcony with luxurious seats so one could easily watch whatever was happening in the arena from a good perspective. I grunted as I got to my feet. Slick was typing some things on a computer with multiple screens surrounding him. He said nothing. I looked back at Alonzo and Zack, who both slouched nonchalantly on the couches, grinning at my visible discomfort. Alonzo bit on the inside of his cheek whilst his eyes went up and down my body, not even trying to hide the fact he was undressing me with his eyes. My expression turned cold as I averted my gaze and tried not to gag. Pretty sure he's still staring at my ass, seeing that I'm standing with my back towards them. "Well you've put on quite a show haven't you," Silvano spoke monotone, still focussed on the screens and papers before him. I shifted my weight from one foot to the other, not knowing what to do or how to respond. What was he up to? Is he going to kill me? He then looked up and sat back in his chair, looking me up and down. I hated that. I hated this so much. Men staring at you like you're literally a piece of meat. It made me so angry. Silvano on the other hand just smiled. He turned one screen towards me as he played the video of me with my stunt in the hall. I saw how I threw the cup at the guy's face and how I made them all look like fools. A smirk decorated my face as it played on. That guy deserved it, asshole. Slick studied my face as he leaned back again in his chair and took a sip of a brown coloured beverage. Probably Whiskey of some sort, I had spotted several bottles in the closets already. "Normally I would hang someone for this," he simply stated. I swallowed nervously and looked at him with fear. He just grinned creepily. "But you, you could be a very valuable asset to me," he spoke as he got up from the chair, still watching me. I raised a brow. 'a very valuable asset'? I am a fucking person, with feelings, rights and one strong as hell opinion. So, I scoffed, "I'm not gonna do anything for you," Zack and Alonzo grinned as the words left my mouth. I looked back at them and my arrogant posture faded. "Oh, I beg to differ, I don't think you will ever go down without a fight, now would you? If we put you up against a man who's trying to have his way with you, would you do nothing?" he had stalked closer towards me, now reaching out for my face. "No, you would fight, and you'd be right to do so. It's in your nature. And I will gladly take advantage of that," he spoke silently as he rolled a strand of my hair through his hands and studied my face. "You didn't exaggerate when you said she was stunning," he now pointed his gaze to Zack. He simply raised his hands in a composed manner. I had to focus on my breathing to not throw up right here and right now and I closed my eyes for a second. "My proposal," Silvano started talking. "Is that you and the rank you're in will not have to do all the normal chores we normally give the other girls. Instead, you will have the freedom to do with your time as you like but you will have to participate in the arena fights," I looked at him with narrow eyes, there must be a catch here. "So if we'd want to go up to the surface...-" I was cut off by a laughing Zack and Alonzo. I glanced back at them but remained focussed on Silvano. "No, of course not idiota," he laughed with them. I winched; it was a stupid question. "Your supervisor will find you suiting chores to do in the meantime, next to the arena fights. No worries, you will be taken good care of," he winked towards the boys who in return smirked back at him. "What if I don't agree with your proposal?" Silvano's laugh faded as snow before the sun whilst the boys kept laughing, knowing what was to come. I took a step back, but it was too late as he smacked me in the face. The strike ringing throughout my whole body. "Then I would throw you in that arena anyway and have all my men have a go at your corpse if you don't survive," he reacted with a venomous voice. I bit on the inside of my cheek as I straightened myself as I looked him in the eyes. "Well then, the proposal sounds lovely," it came out strained, but I tried to make it sound lively and assured. Better to die fighting than to do all of the other work they have planned out for me. I noticed that he didn't really know how to react to it, so he simply went back to his chair to sit down. "Fantàstico," he exclaimed. "You will have time to rest and train, all our resources are at your disposal," a wide smirk on his face as he gestured all around him. "I want the next fight to be grande! Mas espectacular!" he started waving us away with his hands. Alonzo and Zack knew it was time to leave as they had gotten up to escort me out of the office. "Sorry, but. Today there's supposed to be a fight, with the little red-haired girl in my rank," I spoke quickly, slightly resisting the push from Zack. He didn't push trough which surprised me and let me talk. "But we haven't had the proper time to train and prepare for the fight. It wouldn't be as spectacular as you would want it to be," Silvano looked at me with a bored expression on his face. "Maybe, we could get more time to prepare?" it was a bold question, and I was almost sure they were all going to laugh in my face again. But he only smiled. "I like it that you are already working with us X," he clapped his hands. "It's decided, she will be scheduled for the next week! Zack, see to it that another rank is put in the arena tonight." My eyes went big, I just arranged someone else's slaughter. I wanted to protest but the boys were already dragging me away.
