POV Alexis

Date: December

Malia fell down on her knees, shivering, shaking, and crying. Total panic and terror had taken over. Beatriz and Anna wrapped some towels around her and started soothing her, telling her she was okay and that she did well. That she was okay and that she got out. But nothing seemed to soothe the little Redhead. Beatriz looked at me and I gave her a subtle nod. She nodded back and started guiding Malia toward the shower rooms. I stood still, composed, before the now-closed gate, my breathing still heavy from the fight. Sweat dripped down my spine. I saw how the crowd faded and everyone went back to their normal tasks and duties. Within a minute I stood alone in the now empty space, staring at nothing in particular. I tried to control my breathing as I saw the fight again, and again, and again in front of my eyes. Nausea took over as I sat down against a wall and rested my head on my knees. 3 men, I had killed already... 3 lives I had ended. How many more would it become? 10? 50? 100? The men I would kill would all be filth, the garbage of this planet. But still, it remained murder... Wrong...- my thoughts were interrupted by a presence sitting down beside me. First in silence, because the person probably didn't know what to say and I wasn't really in a talkative mood. "You did great," the voice spoke. I looked up with watery eyes and found a pair of ocean eyes staring back at me. The already familiar smirk turned to worry when Zack looked back at me. My gaze went dull as I sat upright and rested my head against the wall, staring at the nothingness before me. I noticed him studying me, my face, my movements, my composure, everything. "Okay trouble, c'mon," he had gotten up and offered me a hand. "Sitting on the cold ground against a wall isn't very good for your muscles," he simply stated with a grin. I chuckled lightly as I took his hand, shakily, I now noticed. Yeah, that was my main concern, of course, my muscles. He pulled me up with such strength that I bumped against his chest when I got my legs under me. He wrapped one arm around my waist to get me steady again. I was surprised by the sudden contact our bodies made and looked at him with a raised brow, a light smile on my face. "Did you do that on purpose?" I said, lightly glaring through my lashes. "Maybe," he spoke softly. We stood close to each other, like kissable close. I scoffed at the thought. Yeah, as if. I just killed two men and now I would go and make out with one. That is wrong on so many levels. Zack was staring at me, glancing at my lips every second as he looked mesmerized by, well... Me. I pushed him away and started walking toward the showers. "Thanks for picking me up from the floor," I made a little turn whilst I kept walking and smiled at him. He chuckled and crossed his arms as he stared me down. Those muscles tho... "No problem. Stay out of trouble. Trouble," he winked as he now walked the other way. I grinned and almost bumped into someone as I turned around again and walked towards the showers. "Woah shit, what took you so long? We're all in the showers. Malia is still shaken, but she'll be fine," Anna spoke quickly as she walked with me. She talked some more about the fight as my thoughts drifted away to that little moment with Zack.

"You fucking bitch! Don't you know what you have done!?" my brows raised at the sudden loud voice that rang through the shower room. "Uh, killed a couple of rapists? You're welcome?" I responded annoyed while Olivia's face looked like it was going to burst. The words left my mouth in sarcasm and irony, 'just killed a couple of people'... I felt bile rise up in my mouth and concentrated on my breathing once again. "You know what is gonna happen, right?!" she made it sound like a threat. "I'll get a pat on the back and a cookie I hope," smiling at my thoughts, the bile slowly receding. "I hope it's a chocolate chip one," sarcasm dripped off the statement while I winked at Anna as she laughed at loud. "They will punish us all because you just have to make everything about you! Newsflash, this isn't the Alexis' show!" she squealed. I had stripped down to just underwear but waited a moment before going fully butt-naked and showering. I wanted to say something, but Anna was ahead of me, absolutely done with Olivia's shit. "If Lex hadn't jumped in that arena, Malia would be dead right now," she spoke with venom in her voice. "She saved her, as she will probably save your sorry ass if you have to fight in that arena!" Olivia glanced between us as she took a step back. "They can't blame us for helping each other, right?" Beatriz responded in a soft voice. Olivia got ready for another remark but was cut off by the shower doors opening.
