3 months later at the compound, Charlie's hands tied behind his back is being escorted by Jemisha to a prison cell after helping Avery escape the compound he had a legal court case in the meeting room where he was sentenced to life behind bars he took the sentence with pride and kept his head high. After reaching the cell they lay him on his bed then tie rope around his ankles and begin hitting him then leave him in the cell, Alyssa visits him regularly with their daughter Olivia who he is not allowed to touch as when they visit he is securely bound to a chair.
Gertrude said she would send the word to Adelaide when the deal has been done and Pearl offers to go with her, they then say their goodbyes and leave together.
At Safe haven, Jason and is people's new home being built he goes out to search for food with Ray, Danny, and Sasha, along the way they hear shouting from close by the four of them begin running towards the noise where they find four people fighting off a group of zombies the four of them rush into the fray helping the people fight off the zombies once all the zombies are killed Jason raises his gun and Sasha, Ray and Danny do the same the guy leading the group tell his people to lower their weapons which they each do except one guy who keeps it raised at Jason until the girl next to him punches him in the gut then knocking the gun out of his hand they then raise their hands in the air Jason then asks them what they are doing which the leader steps forward hands still raised he tells Jason that their community had set them on a mission to check out this area in hopes of survivors and by the looks of things they made the right call Ray then steps forward and tells the guy that they don't need his help they have their own place Jason agrees and tells them to just leave otherwise they might have to resort to violent tactics the young girl steps forward telling them that she is called Anastasia and doesn't want any harm but just wants to know how many of them there are Jason sighs then turns walking away from them after a minute Danny, Sasha and ray follow then Sasha turns around telling them to follow which they oblige and do she falls into step beside the leader and tells him that there are around 16 people living with them and around 7 of them are kids he looks at her astonished asking how they managed to survive so long she tells him that Jason has led them, but he went missing for a while and when we found him he had found his uncle Todd who he then watched be murdered the guy looks saddened and looks at Jason he then says to her that it seems Jason has taken it well she stares forlornly at the ground taking a deep breath she then turns to the guy and tells him that she doesn't think he has he changed a lot from it the guy asks her what she means she tells him that he and his little sister actually have changed his Little sister spends most of her time practising with guns and blades, and he actually trains her they both vowed revenge at any cost they both turned really ruthless and to be honest she is kind of surprised he didn't just shoot him and his people he smiles, but it doesn't quite reach his eye's, and she tells him that she just wants her old boyfriend back he asks her what she means, and she tells him that her and Jason had dated for around 3 years but broke it off when all this started the guy takes her hand and squeeze's it they both stare into each other's eye's, and it seems they both begin to lean in when an older woman coughs and they guy turns to the women cheeks red with embarrassment the women just laughs and extends her hand to Sasha who shakes it the women tells Sasha that she is called Evelyn she then walks on ahead falling into step with Jason Sasha and the guy stare at each other and begin laughing when Jason's voice shouts out that they are here they guy steps forward with Anastasia and they both stare in admiration for the community that the group had built Jason and Sasha then shout for the gates to be opened which the do where Pamela and Samantha wait for them, they let the group in and close the gate behind it Anastasia walks over to where Christian and Lara are stood and begins to talk to them while the other guy she hit introduces himself as nick which Sally just stares daggers at him then storms away Andi and Karol both run out from one of the buildings then when their eye's land of the leader of the other group Karol's legs give out, and she falls to her knee's while Andi screams tears streaming down her face, and she runs into his arms he then falls his knee's wrapping her in a big hug he then looks over at Karol crying and in shock he looks at Andi and asks her if she can give him a minute he then walks over to Karol and takes a seat beside her, he asks her how she is feeling, and she just shoves him away and tells him that he isn't real he then asks her what she means she gets to her feet and punches him in the chest before walking off everyone stares in disbelief while he sits there staring at Karol as she walks away after a minute he gets to his feet and follows behind her, he finds her sitting on a bridge he sits beside her and tells her that its really him and that he really missed her she sits there quietly for a couple of minutes then pulls him into a big hug she returns the hug when she realizes him she looks into his eyes and says that she thought he was dead while Sally watches from a distance saddened when she hears Karol say she missed him Devon then gets to his feet and notices Sally slips behind one of the buildings he asks who the girl is to Karol who tells him that she is called Sally she lost her twin brother not so long ago and hasn't fully recovered he gives Karol one last hug then walks back to the rest of the group where Sasha asks him how he knows the girls he introduces himself as Devon everyone's mouths drop then Danny breaks the silence by saying the Devon in Karol's story he says yes I'm him their big brother Andi still crying walks up to him wrapping him in another hug Sasha tells him that she will show him to his room while Danny and Jason show Evelyn and Anastasia to theirs he looks around and asks where nick went she tells him he went to the bathroom once they reach his room he thanks her, and she kisses him on the cheek before leaving he then takes a seat on his bed taking off his boots he then lies on his bed when somebody in a hood opens his door holding a bat smacking him across the head knocking him out the hooded figure then walks towards the door looking for anybody when he sees nobody around he grabs Devon's legs and begins dragging him out the bedroom then out the backdoor of the building.
