Pearl and her people with Gertrude begin their trek towards the group's hiding place when screams erupt from the back of their long line of soldiers when pearl turns around gun fires begin with her soldiers shooting at a massive horde of zombies coming from behind ripping into them pearl grabs Gertrude and rushes into a building Bear and Aidan follow close behind when Gertrude's radio goes off she pushes a button listening to the person on the other end she then calls the women's name and asks Lin why she is contacting her Lin tells her that it's not looking good back at her home and that Deborah has destroyed the gates zombies are swarming in, and they can't find her sister Sloane Gertrude closes her eye's taking a deep breath then screams into the phone telling her that she better find her sister afterwards screams come from her radio then everything falls silent she screams into her radio calling for Lin but nothing speaks back she puts her Radio down pearl grasps her shoulder and tells her that she is probably fine she might have had to run Gertrude gives a weak smile while they listen to the screams of the soldiers outside Pearl then stands and tells them that they can't wait here and that they need to find the kids Gertrude agrees, and they rush outside into the chaos Pearl looks at her soldiers all fighting for their lives when a group of zombies comes out from an alleyway beside them the four of them begin to climb a camper van when Pearl and Gertrude make it to the top they sit at the top legs dangling down Aidan finally makes it, but a zombie grabs hold of Bear's foot he quickly clutches Gertrude's foot panicking as he begins to slide Gertrude follows barely able to stay on top Pearl and Aidan quickly scramble over grabbing hold of her she looks down at Bear and mouths how sorry she is she then forces her foot into his face with a sickening crunch he falls into the crowd of zombies his screams make the three of them shiver then he goes silent Gertrude scrambles to the middle of the camper van hugging herself with her arms Pearl wraps her into a hug then Gertrude finally talks saying how her sister is going to be so upset Pearl asks her why, and she tells her that Bear was her long time friend they were they met in kindergarten, and he was only 25 he had his whole life ahead of him her eye's then burn with fury, and she tells Pearl that the kids will die for this the three of them then sit there while the zombies surround the van Pearl knows she can't ask for help as any surviving soldiers had probably fled back to the compound.
Jason and Todd now traveling on foot after the car ran out of gas stumble on a few zombies and a place to rest for the night they stumble across a building not far from the city hall and slowly and cautiously opens the door peeking inside to check for any danger after walking in they both split up to ensure the place is safe after dispatching of a few zombies they finally find a room and barricade the door with a desk they then find a place to sleep in the corner of the room and fall asleep.
Sasha and Pamela sit on watch while everyone else sleeps, they both talk about the massacre that happened earlier in the day that lead to many of the soldiers coming for them to be killed, Pamela tells Sasha that it was a necessary thing because if the zombies hadn't come then they would surely have all died Sasha nods in agreement, but Pamela can tell that she is worrying about something she moves closer to Sasha and asks her what is wrong Sasha says that It's nothing but Pamela knows she is lying and tells her that she can talk to her after an hour of them talking flies by Ray, Karol, Andi and Danny come out of a room all 4 of them tell Sasha and Pamela that they can go get some rest now, so they switch places and the 4 of them take a seat watching the outside when Andi points at a young boy wandering the streets Karol tells her to stay here and her and Ray run outside to check on the boy when they reach him Karol slowly walks closer to him and when he turns around he lunges at her knocking her to the floor he gets closer and closer to her face when Ray rushes grabbing him and throwing him to the floor Karol quickly rushes to him pinning him to the floor while Ray prepares to kill the zombie he stares at the boy saddened until Karol brings him back and tells him to do it he slams his knife into the boys' forehead killing him after a few minutes they make their way back to Danny and Andi who ask how the boy was Ray and Karol give each other a side glance which Danny and Andi notice they both stare down at the floor before carrying on with keeping watch trying not to think about the boy when Natasha comes rushing out with Christian and tells them they found a ball and asked if they could kick it around a little Danny said they could but that they need to stay where they can see them Natasha and Christian nod then Christian runs on ahead while Natasha quickly takes a seat next to Ray and asks him if he can teach her how to fight and to use a gun he looks at her and asks her why she wants to learn she tells him that she is grateful for them defending her but knows that someday nobody is going to be able to protect her but herself and so what's to learn now he sits there thinking when Danny chimes in and says they can teach her and Ray says he will teach her she hugs him which he doesn't quite know what to make of it and gently pats her back she then rushes off to Christian and Danny gives Ray's hand a squeeze.
Tiger sits on the roof of the compound, staring down at the destroyed city in the distance when he hears the door behind him open, he doesn't bother to look and waits for the person to come and sit beside him when Alyssa finally reaches him she sits a little distance away from him, he doesn't turn his head but asks her what she wants she tells him she just wants to be away from everything so decided to come up here he tells her that this is a very dangerous place to be she shrugs telling him that everything in this world is currently a dangerous place to be he says touché and then stands up and walking towards the exit he then turns to her and tells her that she is a bitch she smiles then calls him an asshole he turns around smiling before opening the door leaving her alone on the roof she sits there in silence for a bit before making her way back inside she bumps into Charlie on the way who awkwardly tries to avoid her but fails he then asks her how she is she says she is fine before quickly walking away from him where she bumps into Avery he asks her if she needs help with anything, and she tells him that she is fine, but thanks him for asking he nods before turning to leave, but she grabs his arm and asks him to join her in her room he nods and follows her to her room where he takes a seat at her desk while she sits on her bed she asks him if she is pretty he tells her that she is gorgeous and asks her why she asks such questions, but she just ignores it and walks up to him and begins kissing him he reluctantly moves away from her, she asks him why he moved away and he tells her that it isn't right to do it and that she should be focusing on the baby she is due to have in less than 3 months she nods then slaps him across the face he allows it and just leaves the room she then locks the door and begins crying.
