Chapter 18

(Reader's Pov)

*Time skip*

It was sunset when the boat for Princey's wedding set off with Ariel and I standing at the dock watching it go with solemn faces.

'Can't believes his gone' I thought to myself, a uncomfortable feeling building in my chest but I chose to ignore it.

I noticed that Ariel began to silently cry while watching the boat leave so I put my hand on her shoulder to comfort her but she just shook it off and walked closer to the edge of the dock.

I just rolled my eyes and followed her, ignoring my own stray tear. 

"Ariel! Ariel!" We heard scuttle yelling from the sky as he flew in and landed next to Ariel breathing heavily.

"Ariel!, I was flying... of course I was flying and I saw the... the watch.. the witch was watching the mirror and she was singing with a stolen set of pipes!" Scuttle tried to explain while acting it out but everyone just looked at him with confused looks.

So, Scuttle picked Sebastian up and shook him around while yelling about knowing what he was saying.

'Pay back for yelling at me'

"The prince is marrying the sea witch in disguise!" Scuttle empathised each syllable by smacking Sebastian against the wood floor.

"You sure about this?" Sebastian asked him in a pained voice for obvious reasons.

"Have I ever been wrong?" I snorted at this but everyone chose to ignore me. "I mean, when it's important?"

"What are we going to do?" Flounder asked from below us in the water.

 I tried thinking about ways to stop Princey from marrying Ursula but I came up blank which caused me to freak out a bit as I was beginning to lose hope.

I heard a splash from the end of the dock and when I looked, a familiar red head popped up but she was having trouble swimming.

I looked around on the dock for something to help her but couldn't find anything so I jumped in after her and helped keep her afloat but even I was having trouble as I have never swam with human legs before.

 We, Ariel and I, were there struggling in the water with her trying to push me away and me trying to hold onto her.

Luckily Sebastian solved this with cutting rope to some barrels letting them loose in the water which Ariel and I could hold onto.

 Ariel and I grabbed onto the same barrel which Ariel wasn't happy about but was distracted when Sebastian ordered flounder to get up to the boat as fast as he can.

While Ariel, Flounder and I were making our way to the boat, Scuttle got all the animals that helped Ariel try and kiss Princey together to crush the wedding.

Once Ariel and I got onto the boat I saw that Princey was alright and standing straight which made my hear flutter.

'Is this what this feeling is, love?'

At this moment Scuttle got Ursula's necklace off and it flew towards us before breaking on the floor unleashing the voices contained in it.

The voices contained in the necklace flew up Ariel's and my body and back into our throats making us sing.

This caused the spell casted over Princey to break and him come over to us with stunned eyes.

"Ariel?, (Reader)?" He asked stunned to hear us sing.
