(Reader's Pov)

On the contrary of popular opinion, Eric and I didn't get married until years later which went against the traditional view of marriage in the kingdom but when did we care about that, I was a freaking mermaid for crying out loud.

It was our wedding day which we held on a boat similarly to when I first say Eric all those years ago.

The wedding was beautiful. The theme was beach themed as Eric and I couldn't decide between doing an underwater one (my idea) and normal human wedding (Eric's). The idea incorporates both of our ideas and also meets in the middle of the two as the beach connects the water to land.

The dress I wore was personally designed by my favourite seamstress Jane who made the dress using the vague ideas I had (imagine the dress you want to have with your favourite colours and such)

At around mid day, Eric stood at the alter waiting for me to walk down with baited breath and once I did, he did get a bit teary eyed but he doesn't admit it.

We lovingly said our vows which got the crowd of our closest friends and family crying one minute and laughing the next before we said our "I do's" and shared a passionate kiss making the crowd cheer.

At the reception before Eric and I left for our cabin below the deck of the ship, we got the crowds attention and made an announcement.

"Sorry to interrupt but (Reader) and I have an announcement to make" Eric said to them while I held onto his arm with a smile. The crowd looked amongst themselves in confusion but some gasped in shock even before we revealed what it was.

"We are expecting!" Eric yelled happily, putting an arm around me and a hand on my growing stomach that we have somehow concealed for a bit.

The crowd was silent for a moment before irrupting into loud cheers of congratulations and celebration. Many came up to us in person to say those things but Eric and I quickly escaped to our cabin, waiting for the ship to go back to the kingdom where I bet many will tell the good news to the people for us.

Eric hugged me gently after shutting the door. He brought his hands up to cup my face while smiling "I love you" he declared to me, "I love you too" I replied also smiling which then made Eric lean forward and kiss me while cradling my stomach.

The End

Thank you for being on the chaotic and wonderful ride with me. I thought this story wasn't going to be received well as I kind of shat on Ariel a lot just to make the ending that I had envisioned that made me start this book make sense and not be out of the blue.

I hope you enjoyed and I will post a new chapter announcing a new story that I have published but I want to have a break before starting a new one as my school holidays are soon and would like time to plan it and such.

Thank you again!!!
