(Reader's pov)

It was the next morning after the whole situation with the burning/sinking ship and Princey.

I was in the common room which was a tower our father dedicated to us because it was the only one close to our rooms. The common room had tall windows that overlooked our kingdom and that you could see everything around you swim past. In the centre of the commonplace were little tables with big mirrors where we all got ready in the day, one for each of us. I sat at mine just brushing my hair while watching all my other sisters put their hair up into complicated hairdos and put on makeup.

"Ariel, time to come out now" Our eldest sister called out to Ariel who was concealed behind some seaweed which was used to give some privacy.

'Does she have to come out? I rather not see her today' I rolled my eyes 'She is meant to keep what happened a secret but she is being so obvious that even a blind man can see what happened'

Ariel soon came out from behind the seaweed singing a familiar song she sang to the prince a couple of days ago and wouldn't stop singing since then either. She swam past all of our sister's curious gazes and sat down at her table which was right next to mine. (The tables were in the order of oldest to youngest)

"What is with her lately," One of the twins asked. At her question, the eldest turned to me and glared suspiciously at me "What did happen to her (Reader)?, ever since she came back with you a couple of days ago she's been like this" She pointed over to a still singing Ariel who was checking herself out in her mirror"

"I don't know" i lied through my teeth "Whatever happened, happened when I wasn't there so there is no point asking me!" I growled. Ever since we came back, Ariel has become like this. Everyone to servants to my sisters and even my father! has pulled me aside to ask about why she was like this.

I have become so sick and tired of this that I have begun avoiding everyone which was successful because the youngest princess isn't important to the throne but dad caught onto what I was doing and as punishment he forced me to hang out with my sisters for a week.

Ariel seemingly done with checking herself out got off her chair picking up a flower clip. She didn't look where she was going, probably too busy thinking about Princey, that she ran into dad by accident.

"Oh, morning daddy" She laughed, putting the flower clip in dad's hair before swimming off still singing that blasted song.

Everyone stood in front of the door of the common room watching her go through the halls and around the corner.

"Oh she's got it bad," Said our middle sister, shaking her head lightly at Ariel's retreating figure.

'Unfortunately' i sighed quietly.

"What?" Asked our dad obvious to what has happened to her favourite daughter.

'God even I know what's wrong with her but knowing what happened probably helps'

"Isn't it obvious daddy, Ariel's in love" Swooned one of our elder sisters.

Dad pulled the flower clip out of his hair and stared at it "Ariel, in love?" He stared at it like he was completing something before smiley.

'Ah Fish, we in trouble now' I thought brashly, cursing my sister for her obvious crush

*Time Skip*

I caught up to Ariel an hour later to find her and Sebastian hanging around a rock which had some sea flowers sprouting from it.

Sebastian was pacing on a lower ledge while Ariel lounged on the big ledge above that picking flower petals off some poor flowers repeating the phrases "he loves me, he loves me not".
