Disaster

Third person POV

"Rick, " Texas barked out as he transformed back into his human form, both of them were both naked a few feet from each other.

For the first time both of them felt no desire when looking at each other! The tension that bounced between froze the air!

"What do you want," he finally asked breaking the tension between them. "I I I," Texas spoke as he tried to find his words but he didn't know what to say.

"Are you here to gloat, to mock me, the fool who thought that you were his mate ,". Rick accused, Right away Texas went on the defensive as he told him " but you'r my mate."

Something in Rick snapped as his eyes turn yellow, "don't play games with me, that girl back their is your mate not me," he shouted at Texas.

"Rick I'm just as mad as you but this isn't my fault," Texas let's him know as he steps towards him! "Don't come near me," Rick ordered him as he steps back way.

"Your right this isn't your fault, neither of us can control who our mate is," Rick finally admits. Just looking at how much Rick was suffer, made Texas heart quiver in pain.

He wanted to assure him that all would be ok, that it was just a big mistake, that they would find away to be together. He couldn't try and convict him because he was still trying to lie himself.

No matter what excuse he came up with, it didn't make sense, he felt the bond with that girl, he was gay and liked guys, more specifically ass and dick, yet he was somehow mated with a woman!

"I think it's best we forget about each other," Rick suddenly declares as he looks away from Texas, "are you joking, Rick we have a son together, we're meant for each other," Texas try's and explains but Rick's mind was made up.

"I'll take care of Conroe, you can focus on your mate," Rick reply's. "let me make myself clear, Conroe is my son, I spent 4 months with him in my body if you think your just gonna take him your wrong," Texas yells!

"I'm not taking our son, I'll go for him we can co-parent, if your willing ," Rick informs him, Texas was lost as all the anger he had built up left his body.

In one last desperate attempt he tells Rick, "I love you! Your the only person I'll ever love!"

"Love isn't enough, we aren't meant for each other, you have your mate and it's time I look for mine," Rick state's.

It was like a million blades cut threw his body as he heard Ricks word, Texas was loosing it as he pictured another person with Rick, someone else kissing him, someone else in bed with him and someone else in his heart.

He wanted to shout and declare no, but he knew it was unfair of him to tell Rick what do,.

"I have to find my mate so I can break the curse, I won't leave it up to Conroe, I have to put my pack first, your an Alpha you understand right Texas," Rick continues to say.

As he heard his words. All the memories that they shared start to crumble, their first kiss, making love, getting married, all of them withered away.

"So from now on we can't be anything  to each other but Alphas , We'll raise our child together." Rick spoke.

Although his mind was in chaos Texas knew what he had to do, "that's find, I wish you find your mate soon and make sure when you pick up our son you bring him to see me first so I can show him to my family as the next Alpha," Texas comments as he lowers his head.

"I will," was the last word Rick spoke as they separated each heading to their own pack to start their individual lives.

Back at the sliver moon pack!

"I thought you said they were destined to be mates?" Sally questions, June, " I did, I saw it clearly," June response.

She her self was confused as she had clearly seen the connection between them , like strings tied to a knot. But now their was nothing.

Sally looking at June couldn't help but touch her stomach as she worried for the baby that was growing inside, she had thought Bradshaw was her mate.

She could feel something special between them. Now she's pregnant, and unless the firefly curse is broken, they will never know if they are mates .

When Texas returned to his pack, he found everything had quite down as everyone was gone.

Instead of finding his family, he decided to go to his room and try to sleep! Opening the door he's greeted with the sight of the person he didn't want to see most!

"Rick your back," Grace jumped up from the bed as he came in. Looking at her he could tell she was his mate but he had no desire for her what so ever.

Taking a deep breath he try's and control his fluctuating emotions," What are you doing here," he question her gently.

"Have you forgotten Tex, I'm Grace your mate!" She tells him, just hearing her mention the word got him upset!

"I know that, but why are you in my room Grace?" He says to her. " well since were mate isn't in natural for us to be together! Plus we need to finish the mating bond," Grace tells him as she strips naked.

Removing her white dress she was completely naked, her skin looked milk white as a pearl, ever inch of her was perfectly feminine,

But this did nothing for Texas, he was uninterested and annoyed, irritated he order her,"put on your cloths and leave!"

"Huh, did I do something wrong? Don't you like it, am I too forward," she spoke, "just leave""," he continues to demand as he looks at her.

"You can't do this, I'm your mate, you might not be happy with who I am but we should make this work! Once we finish the mating bond, we'll be happy,"  she pleads with him.

"It seems you don't get it, mate or not! I'm the Alpha now of this pack, you do as I say, and I'm telling you to leave now with your clothes on or I'll put you outside naked!." He informs her.

Grace was shocked as she heard , Texas words, right away she put on back her white dress and left his room, only turning back to look at him once.

After she was gone he shut the door and bolted it, then he strips the sheets and lay on the bare mattress. Closing eyes all kind of thoughts came into his mind as he tried and slept!

Somehow he found a way to drift off into dream land, but even then he wasn't in peace as his dreams turn into nightmares one after another all threw the night.

"So where is your mate!," Bradshaw question Rick as he step passed him! He was excited to meet the next Luna of their pack.

Rick had told him earlier on that night, that tonight would be the night he finds his mate and they break the curse.

Ricks heart tightens as he is forced to remember what he witnessed today, the man that he loved with all his heart was claimed by Someone else. "I made a mistake, they weren't my mate," he admits as he continues to walk.

He didn't want to explain to Bradshaw, so he didn't stop and talk to his cousin! Making his way home. He goes into his spare bedroom and sleep.

But he couldn't sleep! Staying up all night he made plans on going back for his son and when to go out and find his mate where ever they are in the world!
