Looking down at the man that I love more than my mate, I can't help but feel an unbearable pain in my heart.

I love him from the first time I set my sights on him, he had short blonde hair and the hottest body a wolf could have.

"Please wake up,"  I say as I touch his face. "Your son is here, I didn't even know you had another kid Rick, he looks so much like you," I tell him.

"You've been out for four months now," I tell the unconscious Rick.

According to the doctors he was fully healed, but because he was badly damaged he's in a deep coma and there's nothing they could do to help him further.

Feeling my pocket, my hand comes in contact with the item wrapped up in the cloth that I've been carrying around for the last several months.

Pulling it out, I remove the cloth to reveal a stick.

But it was no ordinary stick, it had special incantations written all over it and had a  ribbon tied in the middle.

I was given this item a couple months ago when the Pride pack visited us, it was given to me my the Voodoo king.

Flash back

"Come with me, I think I can help you,"

"What do you mean help me," I ask the stranger.

I knew he was the guy that Hebrew had brought to help Lamar but he couldn't.

"I can help you break the Powerful curse that was put on you," he says and walks off.

I was surprised to hear that I was curse, it wasn't the first time someone told me.

In fact in was Lamar that had told be first about this curse when I came to visit his shop with Rick hoping he could help Rick with the problem in their pack.

"Wait," I said as I realized he was leaving the infirmary.

Running behind him I follow him outside into the woods.

"Do you want to break this curse," he asks me in a serious voice.

I hesitated for a minute before saying yes, "good from what I see you under a wicked curse, it just can't be dispelled, there's an anchor involved and for you to break the curse you must destroy the anchor," he replies.

"What is an anchor," I asked him as I became confused by what he meant.

"An anchor is something someone binds a spell to, so no one can break the spell," he explains.

"So it can be anything," I ask him.

"No it must be alive and the greater the spell, the more life force it must have to be an effective anchor," he explains.

I watch as be broke a limb off the tree behind him.

He holds the huge wood in his hands and close his eyes and start to mumble, "esto mo es eto mo, esto moe e o, e Sto moes o," over and over and as he spoke a bright light shine blinding my sight for a  mere second.

I looked at him in a different light, "clearly he was a powerful witch," I thought.

Looking at his hand the branch like  tree limb was gone, replacing it was at 13 inch stick about 2 inches wide, cylinder, that had special Sigel's all over it.

The next think he did was take some leaves from a different tree and connect them.

Like magic they formed a white ribbon that he used to tie around the stick.

"All it needs is for you to drop you blood on the ribbon and when it turns red, break the stick and it will destroy the anchor, freeing you from your curse," he says and hands me the stick.

One thing was bothering me so i decided to ask him, "you said the anchor had to be living right, so can a human be the anchor,"

"Mostly like your anchor is a human yes," he says.

"Do they die if I break this, like if they just grow old and die can the curse end," I ask him.

"That could work but you might die before your anchor," he says and starts to walk off.

"Why are you helping me," I asks him as he's leaving.

"Because I feel like it," he says and moves off leaving me standing there.

End of flashback

I've had this thing since then and I've been afraid to use it. I didn't want to kill anyone.

But looking at Rick I was getting desperate.

He's condition was beyond what science  could do, only magic could helping but the one witch I knew had become a new father and I didn't  want to push Lamar, because I already knew he felt guilty about Rick.

Plus the Voodoo doctor refused my request to help.

I was left with no option, "if I have to kill to hold you in my arms Rick, I will," I Whispers into his ear.

"This was the only magic I had," I thought as I grip the stick in my hand.

Cutting my finger, then dropping  a few drops of blood the ribbon turns from white to red.

Next was to use the magic from this to help Rick. Hopefully my plan works.

I manuver both of Rick's arm so he's holding on the stick while  I'm holding on to his  hands, controlling them.

"1....2......3," I could down until I reach ten and the only sound you could hear was that of wood creaking as the stick was broken and the red ribbon slowly feel to the ground.
