The Ender Dragon's eyes fluttered open. She glanced around at the darkness around her. Anger blurred her thoughts. Herobrine. She'd practically taken him under her wing and this is how he repays her? Where even was she?
"Impossible!" She murmured to herself."And yet, here you are." Came a voice from the darkness. The Ender Dragon whirled around.
"Who's there? Show yourself, coward!"
"Oh, I assure you, I am not a coward."The voice got closer and closer. Shivers went down the Ender Dragon's spine. She glanced around nervously. A creature appeared out of the darkness. All three mouths were twisted into nasty smirks.
"W...who are you?" The Ender Dragon stuttered.
"I," the creature said, "am the Wither."------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Immortality? The thought hit me like a brick. I was immoral, forced to live as this, this thing forever. To watch my loved ones pass away while I never aged, never died. I could only die at the hands at another.
I glanced at Phaedra. She was sitting in a corner with her back to me. I could hear pitiful little sobs. I set my hand on her shoulder. She turned to face me and wiped her eyes.
"I'm sorry." She whispered, but she didn't need to. Her face said it all. her eyes were full of sadness and regret and burning anger that I knew I wouldn't want to be the object of.
"It's just... I don't even know why I helped him! I should've known, after what he did to my father!"
"Your father?" I asked. She sighed.
"My father was Herobrine's best general. He was loyal and would never think of betraying him."A pained look spread across her face.
"And?" I prodded. She let out a long breath of air, then continued.
"He failed him. He was supposed to kill Notch and his daughter. He succeeded in killing Notch, or so I thought, but the girl got away. Herobrine was furious. He changed my father into a terrible monster and banished him to the void."We sat in silence for a minute before Phaedra finally said,
"I'll never forget his last words. I should've listened. His last words were a warning. Don't trust anyone." She glanced at me warily before turning away again. The door to the room burst open and we both turned. Herobrine had a devious grin on his face.
"Time to pay a visit to your father, Phaedra. I'm going to make sure he does his job right this time."
