Khao was starting to wonder if Nin had chosen him for first string so he could torture Khao better. Because that's certainly what it felt like! Everywhere Khao went, it seemed Nin was there, too. And it didn't stop at that. No, Nin had taken to scaring the crap out of Khao, and would only laugh at his reaction before walking away.
Khao hid behind Maew as they entered the locker rooms. One never knew, Nin could be lying in wait to do a jump scare, even though they had totally different schedules.
"Khao, he isn't in here," Maew told him, wanting to laugh at the way Khao scuttled to his locker, glancing around himself like a squirrel on high alert. "Seriously, why don't you just tell him to knock it off?"
Khao puffed his cheeks out. "I have. But all he does is laugh at me and walk away. Why are seniors so stupid??"
Maew choked on a laugh. "Well, nobody ever claimed P'Nin was the smartest of the bunch. People only talk about his football skills."
"His only skills," Khao muttered to himself.
Maew still caught it, and had to swallow the snort that threatened to come out. Khao was entertaining, with his smart ass comments and the way he talked casually about certain seniors. There wasn't a dull moment with him around.
"What're you guys talking about?" Moji opened his own locker, exchanging his uniform for the mandatory shorts and t-shirt.
"P'Nin being an ass," Khao snapped, glaring mutinously at Moji, daring him to argue.
Moji held his hands up in surrender. "Whoa, man, don't glare at me like that! I haven't even said a word about him!"
"Make sure you keep it that way! Your supposed idol is an idiot! He won't leave me alone!"
"You're special, Khao," Maew teased. Khao whipped his head around, pausing in unbuttoning his uniform shirt. "Don't glare at me like that. It's true. You're the only junior on first string, so of course he's going to pay attention to you." Then Maew shrugged. "Not the good kind, but he will pay attention to you. He's a brat like that."
Khao finished pulling on his gym clothes and slammed his locker shut. "I'm gonna go warm up. See you guys there."
Moji nodded, a cheerful smile on his face as he pulled his t-shirt over his head. Maew saluted him, unbuttoning his trousers.
Khao had only taken a step outside the locker room when he screamed from surprise and fear when arms suddenly appeared around his waist, hauling him backwards. "Lemme go! Lemme go! Maew! Moji!"
The maniacal laughter that greeted his ears turned his panic into annoyed anger.
"Let me go, P'Nin," he ordered coldly, shooting the blackest glare he could over his shoulder.
Nin, of course, didn't listen to him, grinning widely at the shorter boy. "Man, you screamed so loud! Like a girl!"
I am a girl, you dickhead! Khao scowled further, yanking free of Nin's grip. "I don't find this funny or entertaining. I'm not a toy for you to play with! Bug off!" He hissed like a pissed off cat, then whirled and stomped away towards the gym.
Nin watched him go, the grin fading into a self-satisfied smirk. There was no way he was going to leave the younger guy alone. "Khao," he tried the name out, liking the way it rolled across his tongue. He leaned against the wall, folding his arms. "You're interesting...I'm not letting you get away. You're mine now."

"From what I heard in the locker room, P'Nin seems to have feelings for you, Khao."
Khao choked on his mouthful of rice, coughing hard enough to make his face get a deep red, attempting to dislodge the rice stuck in his throat. He grabbed his iced tea and gulped at it, wheezing after setting it back down.
