~•Why not?•~

As they walked beside each other, there was silence. Both of them couldn't stop thinking about the kiss they shared, wondering what it could lead to.

"So, do you wanna eat inside campus or outside?" Chris asked, breaking the silent atmosphere.

Jeongin titles his head thinking then hummed. "I feel like eating outside campus."

Chan smiled and nodded. "Yeah, me too."

"After we get brunch, I think we should start looking for a job, and I think I also need a job myself." Jeongin said, reminding the older cause he felt like he forgot, while also adding how he wanted a job too. He wanted to feel independent in a way, and also he needs to provide himself.

"Really? Why?" Chan inquired as he went inside his car then starting the engine.

"My parents helped pay this semester and for the dorm, so i can't be just out here expecting them to pay for everything, and then maybe I'll afford paying everything for myself." The younger said with a smile.

Chan smiled. "Yeah, I actually wanted to the same from the start, but of course with the major I wanted, but since that didn't happen and studied what my father wanted, he of course payed everything."

"Sounds fair that he pays everything, but not fair how things ended up the other day." Jeongin added and frowned a bit.

Chan sighed. He could not believe his father. After studying whatever he had planned for him, he comes out of nowhere and wants him to drop out? He's insane.

They reached a nice place, the smell was amazing. They got out of Chan's car and went inside.

They both ordered many dishes as they were very hungry. Chan payed for everything, refusing to let the younger pay anything.

"I'll pay for our next meal then." Jeongin said, not letting the older win the argument.

Chan giggled. "So, there is a next time?" Said the older with a smirk.

Jeongin's cheeks became red. The way the older asked made him feel like they were in some type of casual date.

"Y-yeah, why not? We're friends." Jeongin stammered.

Chan stopped smile for a second, then smiled again. He didn't realise a word like 'friends' would hurt him this bad. Does that mean the younger doesn't want anything more with him?

"Earth to Chan." Jeongin said, Chan finally looked at him then giggled. "You completely zoned out, what's up?"

"Nothing, just worried about finding a job." He lied, well not completely, he truly was worried about that too.

"Yeah, but we will find some." Jeongin smiled.

"Would do you want?" Seungmin said, while he tossed down the book he was reading to glance at Changbin.

Changbin looked down at his fingers then at Seungmin. "Well...I..." He stopped then sighed. "You know what? It's nothing." He said, faking a small laugh.

Seungmin sighed because he noticed that. Something was eating the older alive and he couldn't know what.

"Just tell me." Seungmin said.

"I need you as my date for some wedding." Changbin blurted out fast, then closed his mouth and look down at his feet.

Seungmin was shocked to say the least. He wasn't expecting anything near that. He thought the older wanted help in a paper or something like that, or maybe a project.

"As your date? Why?" Seungmin inquired, to say he was shocked would be not enough.

Changbin sighed and sat down beside Seungmin. "My parents were gonna arrange a date for me, but I told them I have a boyfriend who will be my date, so now I'm fucked."

"So, you told them you got a boyfriend, which you don't, so now you're asking me?" Seungmin said, more like repeating to himself.

"I shouldn't be asking you this, I'm so sorry." Changbin frowned and was about to go, but the younger grabbed his arm signaling him to stay put.

"Stay here, let me think about for a second." Seungmin said before diving in his thoughts. There could be food there, an open buffet, which would be a plus. Or eating the wedding cake alone would be nice too. Changbin is also a fun company to be around, Seungmin gotta admit, even though he won't say it out loud.

"Okay, I'm in." Seungmin suddenly chimes.

Changbin's eyes go big in shock. "F-for real? You aren't joking?"

Seungmin slightly smiles. "Yeah, why not?"

"You're a life saver, I owe you big time." Changbin said with a wide grin.

Seungmin chuckles then goes back to his book. He sure thinks an idiot like Changbin is adorable in a way.
