"R-really?" The younger asked in shook. The older was willing to keep a stranger in his room. Yes, they're friendly with each other, but they still don't know enough knowledge about each other.Chan nodded and smiled. "C'mon, it's getting chilly outside, let's go." Chan said and grabbed the younger's sleeve and dragged him.
Jeongin followed the older to this room, it wasn't far from his room, it was just a few rooms away.
"Your room is really close to mine." Jeongin pointed out.
Chan nodded. "Yep."
Chan opened the door and Jeongin followed behind. "Make yourself at home."
Jeongin was wowed by the room. There was a TV with a few sofas around, a small cozy, his bed was on the far corner near the window. It was a large king sized bed and there was a mini recording studio near the bed. It amazed Jeongin to know this fella makes music. And it also amazed him how he managed to fit all of this in one place.
Jeongin likes singing and he always wanted to become an idol when he was a little kid, but he never by too much thought into it and considered it as a hopeless dream, so he just dropped the matter and never thought deeply about it because it'll only hurt him.
"You like it?" Chan came beside the younger who jumped because of the sudden action.
"You scared me." Jeongin said with his hand on his heart.
Chan giggled and muttered a 'sorry'.
"You make music?" Jeongin said. Chan nodded. "Yeah, I do. Mostly when I can't sleep."
Jeongin frowned. He wanted to know more about the older and the reason to why he doesn't get enough sleep.
"Hey, don't worry about me, I'm okay." Chan noticed Jeongin frowning, so he wanted to reassure him.
"You don't seem as fine as you try to convince me."
Chan opened his mouth, but closed it and pressed his lips in a thin line. Usually those excuses worked on people he barley knew, and they just drop the matter. But those don't seem to work on the younger.
"You don't have to hide anything from me. All my friends say that I'm a good listener." Jeongin said smiling.
Chan couldn't understand why he was being so nice to him, he was still basically a stranger. Is it normal to get close to a person in the span of 2 days?
"Don't think too much, Chan." Jeongin said, waking up the other from his thoughts. "So, we should probably go sleep now, it's 4am." Jeongin suggested, but still he hasn't gotten any reaction from the older.
"Chan? Look, I'm sorry if what I said made you uncomfortable, I didn't mean to." Jeongin softly said.
Chan snapped from his thoughts. "That's not it! It's just you're a good judge of character."
"Is that a good thing?"
Chan smiled. "Yeah, it is."
Jeongin smiled back and rubbed his nape.
"Since you're my guest, I'll let you sleep on my bed and I'll be taking the couch." Chan said while moving pillows to the couch.
Jeongin shook his head. "No way I'm taking the bed, uh-uh. You'll take your bed and I'll be taking the couch." Jeongin refused the older's offer.
"But you're my guest. And besides, I sleep on the couch quiet a lot, believe me."
"Why?" Jeongin questioned.
Chan was not expecting the younger to ask why, so he hesitated to answer for a second. "Well, when I can't seem to fall asleep I'll be sitting here in the couch to watch and then I fall asleep there." Chan mumbled.
Jeongin noticed how uncomfortable the older is, so he doesn't push the matter ant further. "It's okay, you don't have to tell me if it makes you uncomfortable.".
"I-it's just I'm not so used to talking to anyone about my sleeping problems." Chan said truthfully.
"I know I've said this before, but maybe you should consider seeing a doctor."
Chan wore a stressed face, he tried to hide it but Jeonging noticed, and shook his head. "I don't like hospitals." He mumbled, bearly audible to the younger, but he heard. Jeongin thought that it was normal, a lot of people hate hospitals and how it smells. He didn't pay much thought to it.
"I understand, but you have to take care of yourself." Jeongin said softly and carefully.
Chan rubbed the back of his neck and sighed.
Jeongin noticed the older's discomfort. "I won't ask any further."
Chan smiled and muttered an apology. He then sat on the couch and opened the TV. "You can take the bed, I'll be over here watching something then I'll fall asleep here."
"B-but it's your bed. I can't, it'll be rude." Jeongin said.
"Nonsense. I fall asleep a lot in my couch and just stay there, so please take the bed." Chan said smiling.
Jeongin shook his head as a no and watch beside him. "It's 100% okay, I promise." Chan said reassuring the younger.
Jeongin shook his head again and smiled. "Anyway, I'm still not feeling sleepy, so I'll watch with you."
Chan didn't feel good about seeing him not going to sleep at this hour, but didn't want to pressure it. "I feel like watching how I met you mother. Is that fine?" Chan suggested.
Jeongin's eyes lightened up and clapped his hands. "I love that show so much!"
"I think Ted and Robin are meant to be, but they both are in the wrong time and place, which is why it's not working out with them. But they are meant for each other." Jeongin said with a smile.
Chan nodded, he totally agreed with the younger. "Yeah, which explains how the ending turned out to be. Someone people didn't like it, but I liked it a lot and found it very realistic. You can find the right person, and even if it doesn't work out, they are still the right person, but in the wrong time and place." Chan explained, and Jeongin nodded eagerly while smiling wildly.
