22) Nightmares and Love

Gal POV

When I left the room after I saw the incident I felt warmth on my cheeks. I slapped myself for feeling this way.

She's your student

And also your soon to be step daughter

No matter how I hated this feeling it, her body image is popping up in my mind. Stop thinking like this Gal! I continue to went to the lobby and buy food for us. I bought us a turkey club sandwich with an side of chips and water.

I went back to the room and unlocked it. I saw Sophia watching the tv now. I went to her and give her the food

"Thank you" She said without giving me eye contact. Guess she's still embarrassed about what happened. We ate in our beds while watching tv silently. I can feel her glances at me but I chose to ignore it.

We finished our food and went to bed to sleep

"Soph!" I called out her name.

I was running after her while some random man decided to kidnap her.

"Soph!" I yelled and tried to run faster

"Gal!" She was crying. The man put her in the car and drove away

"No! Soph!" I ran faster but the car sped off leaving me cry in the rain alone

"Gal! Gal wake up!"

Somebody was shaking me. I lift myself up and saw Sophia looking at me like she was scared. I immediately touch her shoulders and her face. I sigh in relief

She's okay

"Gal are you okay? You were shaking and breathing really heavy- are you crying?" She asked and I was catching my breath "Nothing it's just nightmares" I said "Sorry for walking you up" I said

"It's okay, do you want to talk about it?" She asked and I shake my head. I don't want to think about it. It'll just make me even more scared.

"Okay then, goodnight Gal" She whispered and went back to her bed. I sigh in frustration.

Hours past and I didn't fall back to sleep. I was anxious and scared if something happens that will hurt Soph. I checked the time and it was 6:00am. Today we are going to Central Park and tour around there.

I got up and changed into a casual outfit but warm since it gets cold here around December. I looked at Sophia and she was still sleeping peacefully. I didn't want to wake her up but I have to do.

I touch her shoulder and shake her gently

Her eyes flutter open that made my heart throb

"We're leaving soon get ready" I whispered and she nodded "I'm going down to get breakfast" I said and she stood up and walked to the restroom

I went to the cafe and bought us breakfast.

When I came back I made sure to knock the door this time. I entered and Soph was sitting on the bed playing on her phone fully dressed. We ate together in a comfortable silence and we head downstairs in the lobby

We met everyone in the lobby and gathered everyone into groups.

"Alright everyone group 4 is with me. So if your name is James, Kate..........and Sophia" I finished listing out their names. Cullen of course wants me to be around Sophia just in case

I'm not complaining though

I made sure my group is here but I didn't see Sophia. I saw her in the back talking to Taylor who is in another group.

"Sophia!" I said sternly which surprised her

She rushed to my group and we began with the tour

First we went to Central Park where we hanged out a bit and walked around. Then we did some activities with the other groups. After that we all grabbed lunched at this pizza place where we sat outside and had a picnic

But here I am.

Sitting on the table with other teachers here. I was keeping an eye on Sophia. I saw a man walking near her and I become alerted but then he walked passed her. I may seem like I'm overreacting but I seriously can't loose her

I don't what I would do without her

Sophia was sitting on the grass with her friends along with Taylor. She looks so beautiful

"So uh I heard you have your own company?" Kyle said, another teacher. I looked at him and smiled

"Yes but it's technically my parents. I just work there in my free time during the summer or breaks" I said and he nodded

I get so annoyed. It's so obvious he's trying to flirt with me but I'm not interested. I am trying to be nice though

It's the end of the day and all the students and teachers went inside the hotel but I stayed outside watching Sophia who's just walking around.

It was dark but right now we're at this park which had fairy lights and it was beautiful.

She just looks so happy which made me happy

I smiled and followed behind her

She sat down on the grass and I sat down next to her. We both said nothing but looked at the view of New York.

She lay down on the grass and I lay down next to her. She grabbed my arm and place it under her head like a pillow. I smiled at her

We were star gazing until she spoke up

"When do you realize you're in love with my dad?" She asked looking at me. I got taken back by her question.

As I think about it, I don't think I was ever in love with Cullen.

"I never was as I thought about it" I said and she got confused "I was just lonely and he was there for me the whole time. I was getting old and I always want to be married so I said yes to him. But I kinda regret marrying someone who I don't even love" I said

"So what are you going to do?" She asked and I shrugged

"I don't know" I chuckled

All of the sudden it was snowing which made Sophia jumped up. "Gal it's snowing!" She smiled and started to catch snow.

I started to join and chased her

She was laughing and it was like music to my ears. I finally caught her from her back and she turned around while I was still holding her. Her nose was red because she was cold but I just find it adorable

I stare at her until I realized I was leaning down at her. Until the next thing I know, we kissed

We kissed

My heart was jumping so fast

And this feeling that I never thought I would feel is here
