Sophia POV

It was a Saturday evening and dad was throwing an engagement party for him and Gal for a celebration at our house.

I didn't feel like people coming to my house because then it'll be too loud.

Why can't they just do it at another place?

I decided to wear a simple white long sleeve turtle neck and wore a tight short pink dress over it for layering.

I probably be upstairs in my room all day why am I even dressing up. I went downstairs and I saw Gal and my dad greeting everyone by the door. I rolled my eyes

These people are mostly old. Friends with Gal or dad as their work. I went to the kitchen and I just saw alcohol. Gross. Is there any soda or juice?

"Well hello there" A man looks in his mid 30s said

"Hello" I responded

"You look bored" He said and I nodded "So uh why won't I make you less bored. Show me your room" He said "Trust me my room isn't special" I laughed "How old are you?" He asked stepping closer "18, how old are you? 60?" I said and he chuckled

"Mhmm so you ever heard of a blowjob?" He said and I got confused

Next thing I knew I was being dragged away from him. I looked and saw Gal pulling my wrist and she was walking pretty fast

"Ow you're hurting me!" I said and she kept walking until we're at the dining room. "What was that for? I was curious!" I said "You don't need to know about that word" Gal said "What? Why not?!" I said "Because I said so and don't even try to look it up" She said "Fine" I gave up

"Good girl"

Throughout this lame party I was just in my room but only went down when I needed food or a drink. I went downstairs and I heard clapping and yelling. I look over to the living room and saw my dad and Gal kissing while cutting cake.

Ugh I went down at the wrong moment

I ignored them and grabbed an ice cream out of my fridge

I was so bored

I want to go to the bookstore but I can't leave. This day is special for my dad.

"Soph! Let's take a picture!" My dad said and I sigh

I walked to him and we took a picture together

"Gal join us!" He said and I got nervous

The two of them stood behind me and my dad put his hand on my shoulder while I felt Gal hands on my back. Too low.

We took the picture and I was so bored out of my mind. Why are these people so old and boring?! I plopped to the couch and observe these people.

"Can I have everyone's attention please?!" My dad taped on his glass. He walked to the front of the living room and smiled at everyone

"First of all I wanted to thank everyone for coming here tonight and enjoying your stay here. I just want to celebrate the time when I found love again. Gal, please come forward" Dad said and Gal walked to the front with him

"Gal is probably the best thing that ever happened to me in a very long time. I am glad I went to that party and seeing her there for the very first time. Thank you Gal" He said and kissed her lips

I almost gagged

"Lastly, I also want Sophia to come up" He said and I froze. I hate public speaking and when people are looking at me. I feel so shy and weak.

I slowly walked over to them

"Thank you for being the best daughter in the world. I love you kiddo" He kissed my head and I smiled

I'm happy that he found happiness again

But I'm it sure if I'm happy because I literally know and met Gal before him.

"Thank you" Everyone clapped and I walked away. I feel so stuffed so I rushed to get some fresh air outside. I sat down on a chair in my porch.

I wonder when will I finally meet my lover

Perhaps did I already meet them?

Suddenly a familiar car pulled up and revealing Taylor. I was surprised. Why is she doing here? I stood up and and she walked towards me.

"Hey what are you doing out here?" She asked "It's nothing" I said "I know you're probably mad at me still but look I'm sorry okay. I can't stay still when you're mad at me. Please" She said desperately

"Wait hold on" She pulled out a pint of strawberry ice cream and I smiled "You are forgiven" I said and she smiled

"So what are you doing out here?" She asked "My dad threw a party and I needed some air" I shrugged "Wanna escape?" She smirked "Let's go somewhere!" she said and I thought about it

I don't think my dad will noticed

Even though I'm grounded...

"Okay" I nodded but before I left the door opened and Gal came out

"Taylor"

"Gal"

Do they know each other personally? How do Taylor even know Gals first name?
