"My name... is Jeon Jungkook"

That afternoon

Sienna had spent some time in her bedroom. She had unpacked her suitcase and personalized her room a bit. She was sitting on her bed, reading a book when a familiar sound caught her attention.

She poked her head through the door opening to see Jungkook sitting on the couch with his Playstation controller in hand. He was playing Call of Duty and seemed to be quite good at it.
Sienna smiled. Call of Duty was one of her favorite games and she had played it for many hours. She decided this might be the chance to get a bit closer to her roommate.
So, she decided to approach him. She took a seat beside him on the couch, leaving a comfortable distance between their bodies. Jungkook didn't even notice her, as he was so immersed in his game.

Sienna studied his game strategy and then looked over at the boy. He was sitting with his legs wide, upper body bent forward. His arms leaning on his thighs while his hands tightly held the controller, showing the veins in his hands and upper arms. He wore a white blouse, which he hadn't fully buttoned up and black ripped jeans. Sienna gulped as she noticed she'd been staring at him for a while. She couldn't help it. He was very nice to look at.
Looking at the screen, she was just in time to see Jungkook's character get killed by someone from the opposite team. He was now aggressively smashing all the buttons at the same time while he yelled "I pressed the button! Why didn't you shoot, stupid controller"

"Sure, it's definitely the controller's fault," Sienna said, finally catching Jungkook's attention. "What do you mean by that?" He said, looking quite offended.

This was the first time Sienna had noticed some kind of emotion in his voice. His eyes, that had looked so dark only a few hours before were now big and round, his lips slightly parted as he waited for the girl to give him an explanation. Sienna held back a smile before saying
"Well, I can tell you're obviously shit at this game." The sarcastic tone in her voice was obvious. Jungkook was good at this game, better than average, but she wanted to mess with him. Her tactic immediately worked, because the boy was so competitive that he raised an eyebrow and stood up to get a second controller and handed it to Sienna.

"You think you're better than me? Let's see you play then." Sienna sat a bit closer to her roommate, to have a better view of the tv screen. Jungkook cracked his knuckles as the game started counting down before their match could begin. "Good luck beating me, JK"

10 minutes later

Sienna stood up from the couch with a smug smile on her face. She had successfully beaten Jungkook. She bowed as if she was expecting a round of applause, which Jungkook obviously wouldn't grant her. He was still sitting with his controller in hand, his mouth hanging open. He couldn't believe he lost. Sienna put the controller down on the table in front of her and was about to walk off when Jungkook grabbed her wrist. "Wait, let's do best 2 out of 3!" "Are you sure you dare to go up against me again?" Sienna smiled, showing off her dimples. Jungkook nodded eagerly. So the girl took a seat beside him again and went on to play.

"Jungkoook, it's enough. My hands are tired." Sienna whined. They had been playing CoD for hours. Every time Sienna won, Jungkook wanted a rematch and when it was a draw, another match had to be played in order to decide the winner. "Come on, only one more I promise. This will be the tiebreaker." Sienna initially didn't want to, but the way Jungkook was acting was incredibly cute and could not be resisted. "Only if you massage my hands after, it's your fault they hurt." "Yeah, yeah, whatever" the dark haired boy said. And so, the two went on to game for pretty much the rest of the day, unable to stop due to their competitiveness.

When dinner time came, Sienna and Jungkook figured out they had nothing to eat in their fridge. It was already almost empty when Sienna arrived the day before, but because of their gaming addiction, they totally forgot to go to the supermarket to buy new stuff.

"Ah, don't worry. There are a lot of places that deliver food here as well. What are you in the mood for?" Sienna thought for a while and then shrugged. "I don't know a lot of Korean food. So you choose" she said.

Half an hour later the two were happily eating bibimbap (rice with mixed veggies) while they made some small talk and got to know each other a bit better.

The next day

Sienna woke up feeling fulfilled. She felt like she and Jungkook were starting to get on and she hoped they could be real friends one day. Although she hadn't known him for a long time, she felt like he could be the one who helped her overcome her trauma. Maybe faith had a reason for pairing them up in one apartment.

Since she felt good that day, she decided to put on some make up and dressed up in a pretty outfit. She caught a glance of herself in the mirror when she was done. Her hair was put up in two space buns, she wore bright colored eyeshadow that resembled the colors of a rising sun. She wore a black croptop with chains and a pair of cargo pants underneath. To complete the look, she put on her favorite combat boots and was ready to slay the day.

Sienna passed Jungkook as she was walking to the kitchen. "Hey," she called out to him. "I'm going to the market to get some food for the upcoming days. Wanna come?" To her surprise, she got a cold and short answer. "No," the boy said. His voice seemed emotionless again as he passed by Sienna, hitting her shoulder, and disappeared into his room again. The girl looked after him, astounded. "Are you okay?-" She asked, but the only answer she got was a door thrown in her face.

The girl felt confused and though back to the night before. Did she do something wrong? After a minute of drowning in her own thoughts, Sienna decided to shake it off and just go to the market on her own. However, Jungkook's strange behavior couldn't leave her thoughts.

Because Sienna wasn't yet fluent in the Korean language, she struggled to buy the products she needed at the market. She tried to make clear what she wanted with hand gestures and after a long time, finally got it done. But it did remind her that she was in a foreign country, where she looked different than everyone else and as long as she didn't speak the language, she wouldn't get accepted. As she walked back home with the hot summer sun on her back, Sienna only hoped that Jungkook would come around. He was her closest shot at having a friend.

She felt herself get emotional as her apartment building came into sight. She dreaded going back. She didn't want to go to a place where she didn't feel wanted, but she had no other option. She'd have to deal with her roommate for now.

As she got back home, she quickly put away the groceries she'd bought and disappeared into her room. Her feelings were all over the place and the only thing she could do was cry. What did she get herself into. 'I made a mistake. I should've never come here' she thought. This was her father's country, but she felt absolutely nothing for it. Even though she was half Korean, she was treated like an alien.

She covered her mouth as she couldn't hold back her sobs anymore. She prayed Jungkook didn't hear her break down. That was the last thing she needed.

But unfortunately, he did.

Jungkook had come out of his room not long after Sienna locked herself into hers and had heard her sobs. He frowned as he leaned against the wall. He considered knocking, to make sure she was okay. But he decided not to. Instead, he sat down on the couch and got his phone out. He dialed the number of one of his closest friends.

"Hyung, it's me. You know my new roommate I told you about?"

"Oh yeah, what about her?" A deep, raspy voice answered.

"Well, she's crying in her room and... it makes me feel weird. Like I should go to her. I don't know what to do."

"Jungkook, you know the rules we set up. No contact with humans unless it's absolutely necessary. It's bad enough you two are holed up in that apartment together."

"Yeah, I know, but this one doesn't seem all that bad." Jungkook said, looking back at the Sienna's closed bedroom door.

"Jeon Jungkook, it's your own decision. Just keep in mind; you break the rules, you face the consequences."

"Sure, thanks hyung. I'll see you soon."

Jungkook threw his head back and groaned. "Ah, Sienna Park. What do I do with you.."
