Jinsol was having an extremely weird dream. She wasn't a stranger to such a thing but for some reason today's dream felt realistic, a bit too realistic for her liking. She was underwater with a school of blue betta fish swimming not too far from her. The texture of the water was soft against her skin as the betta fish swam right past her and the marine biology major was enjoying the view quite a lot until one of the fish turned around and started... speaking? "Hey Jinsol," It started, making the girl feel as if she was in her own Disney Princess movie. Well, that was until the next thing it said. "Wake the fuck up!"

The blonde shot up as she felt a splash of ice cold water hit her face. Still in a sleepy haze, she wiped her face in confusion and squinted at the bright light shining in from her window as she saw a figure hovering next to her. "Nemo?!"

"Yeah, of course Jinsol. It's Nemo. Your roommate is a fucking clownfish." Sooyoung rolled her eyes as she set the now empty glass down on the night stand. "Although maybe I am a clown for thinking that just maybe one morning you'll actually wake up on time for your classes."

"Yeah, that's definitely on you Soo." Haseul commented as she finished her last bite of toast and grabbed the keys to her trusty old green Pontiac gifted to her by her aunt and uncle. Haseul was never one to hold grudges but say something bad about her car and she'll ghost you like Sooyoung does her one night stands. "Are you guys ready to go? I can't afford to be late again, Professor Kim's gonna beat my ass."

Professor Kim Taeyeon was Haseul's vocal training professor and as kind as she could be, if you went against her class rules she'd unleash her full wrath (something all her students were scared of experiencing after a very vivid description from Taeyeon's wife, Jessica). About ten minutes later, Jinsol finally emerged from her room apparently ready to go but Sooyoung didn't seem to think so. "Jinsol, why are you still wearing your pyjama shirt?"

Jinsol looked down at her outfit in confusion. She was wearing a light pink silk pyjama shirt paired with a casual oversized black blazer and high waisted skinny jeans. Of course not forgetting her obviously worn out Winx Club back pack. Sooyoung and Haseul looked at her in amazement. The blonde really had no self awareness of how childish she looked but as usual the other two didn't say a thing as they urgently wanted to leave their apartment on time.

Ever since their freshman year together, Sooyoung, Jinsol, and Haseul have been best friends. The three of them for obviously different reasons weren't exactly the most popular when it came to making friends. Sooyoung always ended up taking it a step too far and flirting with anyone who was remotely nice to her. Jinsol at first did seem nice and relaxed to her peers but that image was completely demolished when they realised she really was just a wreckless woman child. On paper Haseul seemed like the perfect friend to have, but her oblivious nature was a tad too overpowering for most people. And that's how the trio ended up finding each other. Three misfits who no one, literally no one, wanted to befriend ended up forming a connection they'd share for a lifetime.

After leaving the Polaris apartment building, the three of them were solemnly sitting in the car, having a peaceful journey to school. Naturally, that peace only lasted for the first five minutes before all hell broke loose. Sooyoung sighed in frustration as she read her messages. "Guys, there's this girl I'm texting but she doesn't seem to be attracted to me. Like at all. Actually, her messages are kind of making me think she hates me. How is that even possible?"

Sooyoung pouted as she felt the feeling of rejection lingering around her. Haseul and Jinsol knew exactly what her coping mechanism for her latest rejection was going to be as the 'heartbroken' girl unbuttoned the top few buttons of her white blouse and lifted her arm up to take a selfie. Yes, unlike many people, Sooyoung's way of dealing with rejection was to post a thirst trap so she could feel some form of superficial love again. As she posed to take the selfie Jinsol suddenly leapt forward inbetween the two front seats and photobombed the picture, winking and doing her signature hand sign.
