tw// some violence (sorry in advance)

This was it. Sooyoung had finally managed to get ahold of Jiwoo who, between her idol training and studies at the university, had been very busy lately. Too busy to talk to Sooyoung until this day but the dancer didn't complain as she was internally panicking about how she was about to confess her feelings. She'd told Jiwoo that she was going to take her out to a drive in movie that was showing on Friday night as a breather from her hectic schedule but Sooyoung definitely wasn't getting a breather as she had spent most of the day deliberating on how to ask the younger girl out. In fact, she was so distracted that she didn't notice the consistent knocking on the apartment door, resulting in an irritated Olivia opening it. "What lady?! What's so important that you're interrupting my bed time??"

"Hello to you too Olivia." Jiwoo laughed, patting the girl gently on the head as she walked past her into the apartment. "Is Sooyoung here? We were supposed to go out tonight."

"Oh right, she's been talking about this stupid date all day." The triplet complained, making Jiwoo raise an eyebrow. "She said it was a date?"

"Jiwoo!" Sooyoung interrupted the conversation before Olivia could answer, for a brief moment she actually contemplated on letting the girl tell Jiwoo about her feelings for her but no. She was Ha Sooyoung, she wasn't about to chicken out and let a little girl do a woman's job. She ushered Olivia back to her room before grabbing her jacket and leading Jiwoo to her car. The drive to the park was pretty quiet which Jiwoo thought was quite unusual for Sooyoung. Usually by this stage she would've said some cheesy pick up line or winked at her at least once but today she seemed focused on the road, her hands tensely gripping the steering wheel as she found a spot for them to park in. "I hope you like old movies because I think this one's from the 1950s."

"'A Streetcar Named Desire'." Jiwoo read the sign out loud with a smile. "Wow, I love this movie!"

"Really? But isn't it a tragedy?" Sooyoung asked, wondering how someone like Jiwoo would love a film with such a dark story but the explanation she gave made sense. "Yeah but that's the beauty of it. I think it was a good reality check for Americans back then and even today actually. Love really is hard when you're living in such a restrictive society."

"Wow, you seem... cultured." Sooyoung said, making Jiwoo laugh at her choice of words but she knew what she meant. The two of them unbuckled their belts and adjusted their seats, making themselves comfortable for the next couple of hours to come. Sooyoung had bought some snacks for them to share, including a shared bag of popcorn which caused their hands to constantly meet. It didn't go unnoticed by Sooyoung that Jiwoo would slightly brush her hand against hers, which was a move the dancer normally used on her other dates. It was really weird being on the receiving end for once. They had reached a point in the film where the sound of a beautiful jazz song was playing and two of the characters were slow dancing on a balcony. Sooyoung thought now was the perfect timing to consolidate her own date. "Jiwoo?"

"Hm?"

"Do- do you want..." Sooyoung frowned as she froze up and Jiwoo looked at her expectantly. "More popcorn?"

Jiwoo laughed at the pale look on Sooyoung's face. "Is that really what you were going to ask?"

"I... no." Sooyoung admitted with a sigh. "The truth is... Olivia was right. When I asked you out tonight, I kind of wanted this to be a date."
