23: Marry Me

   " He's engaged to him kuroo. I can't do anything. I still love him, Akaashi knows this
... And I know he loves me as well" I told my friend over the phone.

He wants to get married, He wants it perfect
He wants his best friend preaching the service

   " Eat shit you ignorant slut and get your ass over here. I'll sneak you into the wedding. I don't care if I get in trouble for it. I'm tired of you mopping around. ' I miss Akaashi' ' I want Akaashi back' so go try and get him back you cry baby" He scolded over the phone.

Yeah, He wants magnolias out in the country

   " You have ten minutes till I'm there Bokuto " Then he hung up. Kuroo really just said he was gonna sneak me into Akaashi's wedding.

Ooh, He got it all planned out

That's a real bro! I ran to my closet pulling out my black suit and tie. The only suit I had. And it was what I wore to our wedding. Only this time it didn't have a flower on the breast pocket.

I'll wear my black suit, black tie, hide out in the back

    I went to the kitchen seeing kuroo had texted me. I and two minutes till he was here. What else would I need? Ah yes. I grabbed the flask Akaashi gave me one Christmas filling it with some jack.

I'll do a strong shot of whiskey straight out the flask

Kuroo laid on his horn and didn't stop till he saw me. I raced to his car getting in the passenger seat. Putting my seat belt on kuroo slapped my head.
    " Don't fuck this up" He warned. I gave nodded then we went on our way.

  I sighed looking out the window. Anxiety was high. I was about to do this. I'd early fail miserably, or fail miserably. As we drove a plot of land caught my eye. I smiled softly seeing the tree. The faint heart still in it.

I remember the night when I almost kissed her
Yeah, I kinda freaked out, we'd been friends for forever

  " Look! It's an owl Agaashiiii " Bokuto pointed up to the shadow of the bird. Akaashi giggled snuggling close to Bokuto.
   " You know owls are the symbol of wisdom. Hence why they show up with the Greek goddess Athena " He muttered sitting up.
   " Well you're wise! Maybe your the Greek goddess! " The white haired one smiled taking Akaashi's hand. The spotted owl turned to look at Bokuto with a soft smile. Bokuto hesitated but started leaning in. He closed his eyes thinking he'd feel Akaashi's lips on his. Instead he felt a finger. He opened his eyes seeing a giggling Akaashi. His face glowing with the moon light.
    " I'm saving my first kiss for  the special someone. Sorry my great horned owl" He giggled kissing his cheek.

And I always wondered if He felt the same way
When I got the invite, I knew it was too late

I sighed looking towards the road. Kuroo gave me a pat on the back.
   " Don't worry.. If what you've told me is true.. Then we'll have Akaashi Kōtarō again " He reassured me. I wanted to believe him. I really did. I opened the flask taking a sip.
