Max's POV
Batman was furious about what I had done. I told the Martian to get out of my head, he didn't listen. I don't think I did anything wrong by forcing him out the only way I knew how.
I simply just channeled all the pain I've had throughout my life to him. It's a short burst, but that doesn't mean that it lacks power.
He quickly left.
Batman had been furious when he returned, demanding to know what I had done. In return to my silence, the lights went off and my cuffs unlocked. Batman, or so I assumed in the darkness, grabbed my arm and yanked me out the chair.
I didn't resist, I'd rather keep my dignity and lose than lose consciousness and lose.
He opened the door and a small pair of footsteps joined us.
"Did the League give you the ok?" Asked the person that the small pair of footsteps belonged to.
"No." Batman replied.
We paused for a moment, then started moving again. A robotic voiced called out,
Robin B02
Then,
Batman 01 and Max T04
A bright light went off as I heard someone yell out to Batman.
A new landscape appeared, a dark cave. There was a computer and an elderly man-
Batman smacked a hand over my eyes and I jumped in surprise, grabbing his arm, before slowly letting go.
"I'm assuming you need me to lock the entrance to the cave again, Master Batman." The elderly man asked in a British accent.
Master Batman?
"Temporarily." Batman said.
"It's always temporary before someone breaks down the door..." the man trailed off.
Batman released his vise like hold on my arm and his hand was removed from my face. I was now in a rough black, smaller cave, cell bars on the other side. Batman swung and locked the only entrance she saw, shut.
But then again, what kind of man as paranoid as the Batman wouldn't have a backup plan? And what kind of plan couldn't backfire?
The Bat hmmped and left the room.

"Miss. Max, I suppose you haven't had a decent meal since your breakfast yesterday. I've bought you a sandwich. Usually I would bring something better, but I'd rather not hand you a utensil that can be used as a weapon." Said the same old man, but we was now wearing a plain, all around, white mask and passed a sandwich through the bars.
I eyed it cautiously before standing up from my position on the floor and grabbing it.
I opened it and checked for decisiveness, but it was, in every layer, an average ham and cheese sandwich.
"I do hope you aren't lacoste intolerant." He said, before leaving.
I looked at the sandwich suspiciously. What's the worst they could have done to it? They wouldn't kill me.
I took a bite. Chewed. Spit it out and put the sandwich over the gross, slimy sandwich remains.
What was I thinking back there? I was so close to talking. Well, in my own little way. I don't know why I didn't, they were the heroes of the world, the enemies of mt enemies.
